“nice old quarter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2015 NEW

Barri Gotic is the center of Barcelona with little streets and old buidlings. But the real old houses are reare to view, beacuase many buildings are renovated or chenged over the centuries. Around the cathedral there are some original left overs and near Jaume1 are some rsidues of the old roman wall. The historic museum of barcelona is also very interesting. Many little shops are located here and many little tapas bars and restaurants. But some of them are very touristic.

“I wanted to move there!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2015 NEW

This area of Barcelona is not to be missed. Winding, narrow streets through building after building after building, all of which seem to be classical studies in architectural form and Grace. Tiny tapas bars, art galleries, artists at work, the occasional gelato shop, friendly shopkeepers, cathedrals, great restaurants, roman walls all blend together to gift the traveler an experience not soon forgotten.

“Historical Old Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2015 NEW

It was lovely to visit this part of Barcelona and compare it with the Ramblas and the designer shops of Passeig de Gracia The Cathedral is a beautiful building, whilst the Gothic quarter is filled with narrow winding streets of lovely old historical buildings and quaint shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit to see the new and old side by side
