5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We have just stayed here for three nights and would definitely return. The rooms are clean and well designed if a little small. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great breakfasts which includ freshly squeezed orange juice. The location couldn't be bettered.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

The converted apartment offers tidy and cosy rooms, some of them with tiny balconies, and is a very good value for money considering the central location. Might be a little bit noisy for some, but the windows are well isolated, and we had no problems falling asleep after all the entertainment the city has to offer.
Unfortunately we had to live very early, so we did not have a chance to try the breakfast we were so looking forward to which was included in the price. The only criticism I have is that from a real "family-style" B&B I would have expected a little more flexibility with regards to the special needs of its guest, such as offering some breakfast option half an hour before the official breakfast time. Otherwise everything was really nice.

I chose this hotel based on location and in that regard it did not disappoint. We took the Aerobus from the airport to Placa de Catalunya and from that drop off it was about a 20 minute walk up Passeig de Gracia. It is not obvious to find, we in fact walked past it initially. Only a small sign facing one way (so if you are approaching from the other way you will not see the sign). You go through the big wooden doors and up a flight of steps and enter by a door on the right at the top of the steps. Check in was efficient. We were given a room right next to reception, which was a little weird because we could hear them which makes us think they could likely hear us talk. The room was incredibly small, probably only 1 foot clearance between the bed and the walls. It was very stuffy- we tried to work the AC/Heat, and it basically only blew warm air (even when we wanted it to cool down). The one window would not open, so we just suffered and slept in a muggy hot room. At 70 euros/night, it was fine- we only needed a place to stay the night and the location was perfect since it was right next to the Passieg de Gracia train station (which we were taking the next morning). It served breakfast, but too late for us to take advantage of. I would probably stay there again if I could guarantee that we stay in a different room (with working ventilation, either just a window that opened or a working AC/Heat source).

We traveled to Barcelona for a one-week stay during summer holidays and wanted to try a bed and breakfast boutique experience. The hotel had quite a charming look and with a bit of space orientation we didn't have any trouble locating it, although the signs aren't as visible as those of other hotels (the information provided on the hotel's site came in handy). We had arrived before check in and had no problems to leave our luggage at the hotel and do a bit of surroundings recognition meanwhile. The room wasn't very spacious but it fully satisfied the needs of a light travelling couple under a pretty charming boutique experience. We found the personnel to be friendly and helpful and had an overall very pleasant and relaxing stay. We would recommend better ventilation of the room after cleaning it/while unoccupied and maybe a more varied breakfast. A price/value comparison for Barcelona conditions made it a very good choice: the metro was very close by, Passeig de Gracia is a wonderful stroll towards Placa Catalunya and La Rambla (also close by) and the location is a great plus.

Positives: 1-VERY cool staff. I arrived early off my international flight. They let me check in at 10am and even offered me comp breakfast! Such a thoughtful woman. I was beat! 2-LOVE the location. One block off a lovely promenade and a few blocks from Las Ramblas. I am quite pleased being here- close enough but not in that Las Ramblas mayhem. 3-Room is clean/decent and has tea service. Bathroom supplies are provided. 4- Breakfast is nice quality. Two Cereals, Fruits, Bocadillos, Bread, yogurt etc. Coffee is good and plentiful. Again, staff great. 5- Wifi in the rooms works well. 5- VALUE VALUE VALUE- I would stay here again for sure.
Negatives: 1-Bed is downright hard. Thankfully, I am okay with a hard bed. 2- TV is all local, not even international news. Very Odd. Oh well- As mentioned above, Wifi in the rooms works well.

Room Tip: Room with terrace overlooks street. Noise might bother some but did not bother me.

I just recently returned from a quick 3 night stay in Barcelona and booked this cute b&b based on trip advisor reviews, and I was not disappointed. It is literally in the heart of the best part of the city. The Gaudi houses are 1 and 2 blocks away. You are a good 8-10 blocks from La Rambla which is perfect.
The place itself was very clean, good breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent option for young couples. We had a very wonderful stay.
Thanks!
