“The place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

Hostel One Sants is a little bit outside the centre, which only works in its favour! If you want to have proper tapas instead of falling into the La Rambla's tourist traps, the Sants area is the place to go exploring! I highly recommend Pan & Oli on Carrer Galileo.

The hostel is a 15 minute metro ride from Plaça Catalunya, a 15 minute walk to Plaça Espanya where the -beautiful- Magic Fountain's light show is, aaand also where the aerobus stops.

The hostel itself is on a very quiet street, just off the buzzing Rambla Badal. Felt safe the whole time I was there.

Upon arriving I was greeted by the wonderful Carlos with such niceness it actually blew me away. Oh, and also cake. That was good, too. Thanks Linda!

The whole staff is very attentive, incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the city, the rooms are cozy and they have a super cool terrace area. They make you dinner EVERYDAY which is a nice way of getting to know the other people staying at the hostel and organize nights out almost everyday.

Bottom line is, if you're planning on going to Barcelona this is the place to stay at. Especially if you're travelling alone!

Friendly hostel, family atmosphere and communal dinner around the table. There are lockers to secure your stuff in the room. Nice views and wifi on the roof terrace. In my opinion however it's very very basic and not very comfortable and there are other places even cheaper in Barcelona like Twenty two that are better

Hostel one sants was such a warm place! It a great hostel with lots of young energetic people, they go out to clubs around 11pm, a sweet enough to cook a free dinner nightly at 9p, and often mornings offer a free piece of sweet bread/cake. They play music all day, very lively. FFree wifi as well. The best shower ive ever seen in a hostel. They encourage socializing and conversations.

From the second that I stepped into the hostel, I was welcomed by the staff and fellow backpackers. They make a delicious, authentic meals every night for free for dinner. It is an awesome atmosphere for meeting people. The facilities are nice, the outdoor terrace is great and the location is also a plus. I know that my stay in Barcelona would not have been the same if it would not have been for the amazing people at the hostel! I would definitely recommend it, especially for solo travelers, and can't wait for another visit back!

Hostel One Sants is an incredible hostel for youth travelers. The free dinners insist on conversation between the guests, the staff is very helpful and on one night, even led us all out to the city center for a night at a bar. The other people staying in the hostel were brilliant as well. If you want great conversations, good food, and sublime memories, I recommend Hostel One.

Room Tip: The rooms are all quiet and about the same. People aren't in the rooms often in case you want to...

We only had one night in barcelona, and we booked a four share. When we arrived we met a really friendly girl who showed us some basics on the map, gave us the password for wifi, etc. It was mid february, so the hostel only had about 15 people in it total. We ended up havin the 4 share to just the 2 of us which was nice. The beds were comfy, but the duvet did have some weird stains. The lockers provided were a good size as well.

At 11 oclock, 13 out of the 15 of us in the hostel, were told that we needed to be quiet but a really rude member of staff. Now this is a hostel, at 11pm in barcelona. That is ridiculous. If someone booked a bed because they wanted a quiet night, the they shouldn't book a hostel.

The wifi was slow, and didnt connect from the rooms.

Overall for the price we paid, we would probably stay here again, but not for a long period of time.

Very friendly hostel with free communal dinner around the table and daily happy cake. It has a family atmosphere, is very welcoming, close to public transport, and clean. There are lockers to secure your stuff in the room I was in, a lift in the building if your bags are heavy. Great views and wifi on the roof terrace. My 8 days was over before I knew it, and I had to go. Hope to visit and stay here in Barcelona again.
