“Great views from a great apartment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

These are great, very well equipped, comfortable apartments. The location is excellent and if you can its worth booking a room with views of the Casa Mila (la Pedrera). The Reception staff are very helpful. The gym is reasonable but the pools are much smaller than they appear in the photos.
One tip the rooms have a nespresso machine so if you have one at home bring some capsules to get you started.

We loved our stay at the Suites Avenue - though it was pricy.
The front desk was very helpful with insider tipps for good restaurants and so on.
The location is perfect to get to all the places in Barcelona, it makes this citytrip so much easier.
We had a balcony facing Casa Mila and the rooftop was amasing too. The pool is good for refreshment, but not really for swimming (very small).
I didn't like the agreement you had to sign at the beginning - saying you have to keep the kitchen clean, otherwise you need to pay extra 50 € for cleaning. I think with this price this should be included.
In the second floor you could hear and feel the Vibrations of the Metro - not very loud but still.
Also you could hear everything from the hallway in the rooms - but there was not much going on so it was calm and peaceful and not really disturbing.

The front desk assistance was always helpful and had great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble and when we needed something we just asked. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable, we had 2 different sizes and both served their purposes most comfortably. I would stay here again and happily sample other Derby Hotels on offer.

Room Tip: Make sure you state clearly what you need from your room, theyre definite in their setup

The room was very modern, and in a great location, overlooking Casa Milà, with the majority of the main attractions within walking distance. The views from our room were spectacular, as was the view from the rooftop pool.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

I've recommended this hotel to friends, and if we go back to Barcelona we would certainly stay here again.

What a great place to stay in Barcelona! Great location close to the trains and all the sights. We booked a one bedroom suite and when we arrived we found out that we had been given a room with a huge private balcony with lounge chairs and a little patio area. It was just great. The apartment had everything that we needed The hotel is modern, clean and safe. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel to my fellow travelers.

We stayed at the Suites Avenue last year and enjoyed it so much, we booked it again for our Barcelona stay this summer. Even though we booked a standard room for the two of us, we were warmly greeted upon arriving, where we were informed that as repeated clients we were being upgraded to a larger room with a terrace, facing La Pedrera! The staff here is the most accommodating you will find anywhere, and they always seem to know the best places to eat! Our room was spacious, ultra modern and absolutely spotless. Two welcome changes from last year to this one is Wi-Fi is now free, available 24 hours/day and they've expanded their international TV offerings.
Raves all around for Suites Avenue and the Derby Hotel collection. They just "get it" when it comes to hospitality! (Yes, we'll be back no doubt!)

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was modern, comfortable and very well located. It is just across the road from the Pedera, and within walking distance of other key sites. The Metro is close by to Other kitchen and lounge. The only downside of the apartment was that the lounge was too small relative to the other rooms, meaning that there was not really room for the three of us to relax comfortably. I would be better to reduce the size of the large bedroom. Other facilities include two small pools (one on roof with good views and sun beds), gym, and sauna.

Overall a very good choice for a stay in Barcelona.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter, but the front ones have the view onto the street
