“Wish I could have stayed longer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2012

This hostel is a must stay. The staff here are amazing! They treat you like family and speak English perfectly. Lockers in each room provide great security. Nightly activities run by the staff foster a sense of community. Located right near the harbor and the southern entrance to La Rambla. Laundry available downstairs, with a kitchen and quick WiFi. Wish I could have stayed here longer!

This small hostel has a cosy feel to it. The staff are nice and really takes care of you. Giti, one of the staff gave me good tips on safety when I was heading out alone at night. It shows how caring they can be.

The room is brightly colored and feels cheery. It can get a little noisy at night with the small gathering in the dining room below and the restaurant outside. Otherwise it's ok as it will get quiet by 11pm.

The location is near to the waterfront beach- takes about 20-30 minute stroll. Near to the metro as well, about 15 minutes walk at most.

The kitchen is minimal but you can still cook and buy and keep your own stuff in here. Breakfast is included.

The living room is a nice place to interact with other hostel mates.

Overall I will stay here again if I were to come to Barcelona.

I actually stumbled upon this hostel on hostelword.com trying to find a place to stay in Barcelona. I turned out to be best choice I could have made. This hostel has some of the friendliest staff out there. They really try to make you feel at home, include all the guests in different activities and Guiti even showed me how to do one of her pasta dishes. Upon arrival I immediately got introduced to all the other guests which is great when travelling on your own.
In the mornings there's even a free breakfast and someone to make up your bed (I don't even think my mother ever did that ;p). I would recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Barcelona. Thanks to Guiti, Sara, Nacsi and Marcos for a great experience xx

Great Since the moment you enter you feel welcome by the staff, they are really nice the give touristic information, metro, bus, everything. then you have the evening events when you know all the people ho stay at the hostel then you go party whit them, to know the city you make good friends in there. The atmosphere is like you are part of the family. Its very clean, staff is really nice, good location, is not expensive, what else do you need...party (they have party).
Really good i come back soon.

My friend and I stayed at the Albarada Youth Hostel for a week while we visited Barcelona in mid March. What attracted us was that it was one of the least expensive hostels and it had one of the highest reviews on hostelworld.com. The hostel is very clean from the kitchen to the bathrooms. There is breakfast from 8-10, the rooms are clean and they have lockers for your belongings. There is a living room area with two computers and it gives the guests a chance to meet everyone. It is in a great location by the water and about a two minute walk from la rambla. They are very knowledgeable on where things are in the city and have great recommendations on where to go. There are also sangria nights where the guests got to get together and drink at around 10. Albarada Youth Hostel was the best!
