This was our third visit here for food in Barcelona, and again found it to be excellent.
After a day of sightseeing, including an early start, we were fairly hungry by the time we arrived here. Quickly showed to a table in the rear of the bar, rather than the restaurant upstairs (we ate upstairs last time, but wanted to be in the bar this time).
We ordered a selection of food - bread with tomato, chicken croquettes, stuffed peppers, meatballs, chorizo, etc with soft drinks for the kids and a couple of glasses of white wine for us.
Service was really quick, and the food was hot and tasty, as ever. Final price was almost bang on 50 Euro - which was good value for the ten (or so) plates we had.
Highly recommend this restaurant over a few of the other rip-off joints on La Rambla. Its also really handy for the Metro, as its right next to the entry to the "Place De La Catalunya" station.
Can think of no reason not to go here.
When we last visited, we ate upstairs in the restaurant. Cracking views over the busy street and as we were having a relaxing lunch, we just asked them to bring tapas for four. We did get most of our favourites (see list above) along with some things we'd never normally eat (king prawns, prawns in garlic, etc) but they were really nice. A couple of bottles of wine were consumed, along with numerous Cokes for the kids. The price came to around 120 Euro, which was pretty pricey - a bit taken aback at the time, but thinking later about how much we'd eaten over the hours we were there, as well as the drinks, it wasn't unreasonable.
Service was fantastic that time too !
