“Very different and would definitely go back.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for 4 nights in April. First impressions were wonderful. The reception area is just as good as the photos. Our room was on the fifth floor. Amazing view from the bed. Could press the button from the bed for the electric curtains and watch the lights of the city at night. Food was beautiful. The dessert with the salt and cavier and chocolate truffles was amazing . Mario our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The shower in the bathroom was rainforest shower. Brilliant. The whole experience was great.

Not far from La Rambla, the Raval is a more authentic and peaceful area which gets busy and lively with locals later in the day. It is surrounded by some great hidden gem restaurants and curious shops. I was a little unnerved by the reviews of the "dubious area", but in fact we felt safer there than on La Rambla following numerous warnings of pick pockets and thieves.

The hotel boasts fantastic 360 degree views of the city from its roof top, however, the swimming pool could be better described as an ornamental pond. Swimming would be a challenge! We had a deluxe room with a fantastic view, lime green ceiling, pink mood lighting, remote control curtains, a massive bed and open plan bathroom with the shower dividing the room (I'm glad I travelled with my husband rather than a workmate). The whole hotel has a fun, designer feel. As you enter you are greeted by a horse wearing a lampshade!

We ate two evening meals in the hotel restaurant (B Lounge). The food was excellent. I would highly recommend the tapas and chocolate ravioli!

This hotel is well placed for all the attractions while far enough away from the tourist groups.
Pros...
Fantastic views
Fun and functional design
Friendly staff
Reasonably priced, fantastic food in the hotel and nearby
Taxi rank outside

Cons...
Don't get too excited about the pool

Trendy Hotel in great location. Rooms could do with a spray of mosquito repellent during cleaning as was eaten alive on first two nights which resulted in a couple of very uncomfortable nights sleep. Room was also not cleaned on one day. Staff turned up at 6pm when we were already back and preparing for the evening. Street directly behind the hotel a bit dodgy but easy enough to avoid. Overall though, great looking hotel and great base for exploring the city.

Unusual hotel but great facilities and great location. Spotlessly clean and great views of the city from the panoramic bar on floor eleven. Didn't take breakfast but it looked very good. Hotel is about five mins walk from La Rambla but in a nice, quiet square away from the noise of the Main Street but very accessible

What a stylish and quirky hotel this is! Such clever and fun rooms, fantastic interiors throughout the hotel and the view from the roof, amazing! The best compliment I can pay it is to say we would very happily stay at this hotel if we visited Barcelona again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room so you can get a view.

Stayed there for a long weekend with friends.
Location is OK - if you don't mind walking through the migration ally late at night to get there from the centre of the Ramblas. We enjoyed it, though we were warned...!

then - staff is very helpful and friendly. rooms are clean and just enough space for two people.

the shower and washing facilities are designed in a modern way and not in a separated from the rest of the room.

lot of little things - it seemed to us - were not really thought trough when the rooms were designed. It seems to me, that style proceeded practicalities.

the rooms are quiet (except for a few intoxicated girls at 1am). ther eis no noise from the street nor from neighbouring rooms or houses.

Breakfast for €18 was definitely to poor - or to expensive!

Surly a good place to stay - a little to modern for my taste and a little pricy for what it has to offer!
