“Good quality Food !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

The restaurant was recommended by the guy at the hostel reception. He said that as a local that is the place he would go for a good paella. May be costier than the places you would find on La Rambla but very very good. The paella was excellant and the platter of grilled seafood and fish was divine. All fresh and super tasty. We even liked their plain black tea and asked for seconds. The price seemed reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. Would love to go again. Highly recommened !!!

“beware the waiters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Great food, but order from the menu. Seafood is great. Have the fried little sardines, or grilled gambas. The entrecoat special meal we had on a Sunday was the best steak we had in Spain, or Paris, and fairly reasonable.
But if it's not your only meal in Barcelona and you're tired of tapas, order off the menu and don't let the waiters intimidate you to give you their choices unless you just want more of Spains wonderful ham and cheese.

Hi Susanandvictor,

Thanks a lot for considering our steak THE BEST IN FRANCE AND SPAIN!! I’m very glad you had a good time at our restaurant.
Sorry for the waiters, they just try to help, and some times don’t realize they talk in excess. Sorry about it.
Please, come and take a picture with me next time you come. I have good memories about Fort Lauderdale, one of my children went there one summer long time ago. Silvestre

“Good restaurant for fresh fish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We enjoyed a good meal here. The waiters are friendly and make a good effort to describe the fish. We had the whole sea bass which was delicious I did not like the potato and vegetable not as good standard as the fish. Good restaurant if you like fish but expensive

“GOOD RESTAURANT FOR PAELLA COUPLE BLOCKS FROM THE BEACH”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

There are two Restaurante Salamanca on the same street. The restaurant is owned by the same owner. The fine dining restaurant is much larger and across the street from the other.

The Paella was a little better than we tried at another restaurant the day before in the city. The prices are a lot higher than most restaurant in the area I am sure Salamanca prepares a better dish. Restaurante Salamanca has large pieces of lobster on their dish with large pieces of squid and other seafood.

We were given a plate of bread and a plate chorizo. We verified that there was no charges for the two plates.

We did not see the price of Paella on the menu.

I would verified the prices of any off menu dishes ordered.

“Top paella in Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

For me that's actually the best paella you can have in Barcelona!! The service is excellent, there is a very warm atmosphere and my friends have had different kind of fish dishes and we were very satisfied with everything! it's not a very cheap restaurant (minimum 30€ per person) but it really deserve it!!!
