“A Classic!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

I've been to this restaurant several times over the years. It's a place for classic dishes, such as the cochinillo, fabada Asturiana, and Segovia dessert. We enjoyed all three of these and more in a busy atmosphere where the waiters hustle among the tables. But don't feel the need to rush. Take your time because the portions are very generous. There is seating inside and out. Inside, there are several levels so don't worry if the place looks full, you'll get a table soon. Wine selection is also great, including my favorite Martin Codax albarino. Linger and enjoy the traditions of this establishment and city.

“Excellent”

Great tasty giant beans from la granja. Generous portions. Quality pork. Salmon was good too. Children's menu substantial. Local dessert amazing. Menu degustacion recommended. You need to be hungry to get to the end

“A Wonderful Find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

I am becoming a bit confused by Trip Advisor Reviews. I have an impression of a place and my experience with it and the read the other reviews. This was a great find to me. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm autumn air, great food and friendly service.

“A very average place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

We decided to have dinner there was for the location, closer to our hotel. The night was very cold and not many people in the restaurant, not many people on the street either. We were the only customers in our dinner time. We ordered the daily prix fixe menu - 1) Casatellana soup, suckling roast pig, coffee. 25€. 2). Creamy shrimp soup, Segovia style fried trout, tea. 16€

The Casatellana soup was a bit of heavy for my taste, but it was a good for the cold night. The roast port was very average; I had better ones. The shrimp soup was good but a bit too salty. However, the trout was cooked perfectly.

The nearby restaurants are more expensive than this one for the same dishes or the same kind of daily menu. I rated it as an average for the combination of price and the taste of food.
