“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

I've visited quite a few cathedrals in a number of countries, but the Cathedral of Toledo is a standout. Lots of side chapels, each with its own history and style, and some excellent examples of stained glass. Most surprising, however, is the art collection, including works by Goya, El Greco, and Velasquez. You won't feel the need to rush through anything, and there are plenty of places to just sit and meditate. Plan to spend about an hour or more here at a leisurely pace.

“A true must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

Spectacular as cathedral, with unique Spanish features, breathtaking choir and altar, and moreover a great art collection with the magnificent "disrobing of the Christ" by El Greco, Goya, Velazquez, Titian.

“Free to Spaniards on Sundays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

The Cathedral is free to Spaniards on Sundays, but is otherwise 8 Euros (includes audio-guide in many languages) or 11 for tower visits. It is a lovely and large cathedral with a large opening that is a distinguishing feature that allows light to flow in. The ticket booth is in the gift shop across the cobblestone street from the entrance. I'm not religious, but I did enjoy the visit.

“Magnificent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Superb cathedral. One of the best I've seen in Europe. Incredibly beautiful and ornate. This is an absolute must see and is well worth the trip from Madrid.
