“Nice choice for Old Town Toledo.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Nice 3 star hotel with weak break fast buffet.

GOOD:
1)Very close to Old city Toledo, very easy to walk there.
2) Quite and nice in the room.
3) Clean
4) Very friendly and helpful staff
5) Easy free parking in front of hotel
6) Internet free of charge
7) Nice price for Toledo (35 €) with breakfast buffet included

Not GOOD:
1) Poor Internet connection. Breaking down every 5 - 10 min for few min.
2) Breakfast is buffet, BUT weak. No hot dishes, just bread, pastry, yogurt, cereals, milk, tea, coffee, some jams. But anyway MUCH better, than regular Spanish set breakfast in some other hotels. It will let you survive for the rest of the day till supper.

Just back from 4 days in Toledo with a group of friends, we booked this hotel via a Groupon offer and it was fantastic value. Lovely building, lots of character, rooms adequate. very clean with comfortable beds, helpful staff, but we had VERY BAD air conditioning problems, ie it was churning out hot air during temperatures up to 39oc outside, unexpected heat wave!!! but the staff were unable to resolve this for our group. I also had to complain 3 times to have a light bulb replaced in bathroom. The staff are young and appear to be fairly inexperienced although they are very pleasant. Wifi very slow but it was free. Breakfast was below what I expected from a 3 star, horrible powdered juice & coffee with fresh rolls & croissants with jam & honey & there were cereals also. Be aware there is NO facility to have a drink or coffee at any other time than breakfast, they do NOT have a cafe or bar open after 10.30 in the morning, there is no lounge or seating area where a group can sit & talk, the nearest cafes & bars close around 22.00, unheard of in Andalucia, which is way too early when you´ve come back from a meal in the centre of Toledo & fancy a coffee & brandy before bed. You get the impression the hotel is run on the cheap but not the pricing structure.

I would have been very unhappy with the hotel if we had paid the full rate but it very well worth a visit to Toledo, I would go back but I think next time we will stay in the centre of the town.

Room Tip: Ensure that the Air Conditioning is fully functioning before considering staying here & be happy...

The one big advantage of this hotel is that you are right close to the rail station (turn right and the hotel is on your left acrss the road). You can arrive from Madrid (35mins) on the last train, check-in, and eat at the perfectly good Chinese restaurant next door. It is also opposite the bus stop for the city centre. Apart from that, well, we thought it overpriced. For 77 euros we got a simple, clean room with an en-suite shower in need of renovation, and a fair amount of traffic noise (despite the double glazing). The hotel building is attractive, but the surrounding area is not. We paid much less for more in the Hotel Abaceria, but you need a car (or pay for a taxi) to get there.

Nice Spanish style hotel replete with medieval knight at the entrance. The employees are nice and friendly. My room was cute and clean, and the hotel itself is a delight, especially for those into historical ambiance. I had upper-story views of the quiet little train station and golden wheat fields beyond. Their breakfast is decent, and there are several restaurants next door, as well as a local's small drug store. The only bummer is how far away it is from all of the action in Toledo. If you want peace and quiet and just wish to chill out and stare at the quiet countryside, this is a good choice. I wouldn't stay here again because there are places far closer to town that hug the centuries-old castle, park, dusty bull ring (that must've closed decades ago, thankfully, as bulls deserve to live long lives) but still really nice to look at and take pictures of. All in all, an above-average very attractive hotel that is not in the center of town but far off on the outskirts.

I, sincerely, do not recommend this hotel. It´s quite dirty, the personnel he is not qualified, mainly the direction department, and is excessively expensive. The city is wonderful, but there are other much better options.

I arrived in Toledo at night, so this was probably the first hotel i saw. I stoped to ask for the price, and i liked the looks of the hotel. It is an ancient building that was rehabilitated. I think it even won an architecture prize. The staff was very nice, and the hotel is quite okay. The interior arabic decoration, is in my opinion a bit exagerated.

Toledo is a safe and very, very beautiful city. The hotel, is a razonably base to discover the city. Everything that is worth to see (old city) is on walking distance. I would advise to try the "Perdiz à Toldeana" while you are in Toledo.

I don´t remind the price, it wasn´t cheap for a 3 star hotel (no booking - regular fare), but it was in August, so...

Hope this was helpful.
