“Perfect for a short stay in Toledo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

I was traveling alone and arrived by train. I took the bus from the station to the Plaza de Zocodover and the hotel was just a short walk from there. Very convenient. The area of Toledo for sightseeing is easily walkable from the hotel. One can definitely get turned around in the narrow side streets, but you're never really very far from where you started. The rate of $65 US included a very nice breakfast. The room and bath were reasonable in size and were clean I think this was a great deal! I would stay here again!

This was my last sightseeing stop for my travel in Spain. I had a wonderful time everywhere, it is beautiful, the food is very good/excellent, the people were very nice. I wish I could go again soon!

This small hotel offers great views, close access to public parking (important to driving tourists), a reasonably spacious room with free wifi, a good breakfast, and an easy walk to many historical sites and a couple of Toledo's museums. It was easy to find, but unloading the car was a bit tricky because of cramped space. It appears that small tour groups use the facility, but not to the point of overwhelming those traveling alone or as couples. A variety of restaurants are nearby, and the staff gives excellent recommendations based on your tastes and budget. The higher the floor the better, both for views and distance from street noise (people, not cars).

Room Tip: Ask for higher floors.

Hotel was clean and comfortable in a great location for touring historic Toledo. Very decent breakfast included in our room rate which was a bargain (November travel). Hotel has roof terrace for viewing city and has a bar which was not open when we visited. A good choice in Toledo.

Location is good, plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops and coffee bars around, quite some really good restaurants nearby. It's very pleasant walking around after dark since daytrippers are long gone. Hotel has excellent breakfast, all kinds of varieties, cold and hot, more than we can take, Moorish deco in breakfast room is very fancy. Staff are nice and helpful. Rooftop bar has fantastic view, especially at twilight when weather is good, be sure to go earlier, very crowded.
Now the part I don't like about. We had a room at street level facing the back alley, there's another building across the narrow alley, so the room is very dark all day, need to turn on light whenever inside (light is also quite dim), I am sure upper level with balcony is much better, we were told it's fully booked so left no choice. The worst is the noise at night, plenty drunk people walk by, laughing, talking and singing, couldn't sleep well. Room is clean though, with all the basic needs.

Carlo V is a very nice hotel, but street noise at night into the early morning detracted from the positives. The noise is obviously beyond the control of the hotel, unless they invested in sound proof glass for the Windows. The room we had, 215, was pleasant, though small. The roof top bar, which is not run by the hotel, has fantastic views of the city. Also of note is the Moorish designed breakfast room - quite impressive. The included breakfast was quite good. Overall, nice hotel in a very good location. Too bad about the noise.

Room Tip: Ask for an interior room, not one on the street.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on route back to UK. Really good location, was able to park and unload outside hotel, secure parking nearby, 19 euros for 24 hours. Hotel very clean, large comfortable bedroom, no view but it was quaint in a side street. Breakfast was very good, great selection served in a beautiful restaurant. Toledo is lovely clean streets with beautiful buildings, wonderful views, good walking shoes a must for the cobbles and narrow streets. Well worth a short visit.

I stayed her for 1 night recently with my partner and 8 month old baby. The rooms were very well appointed and a cot was made up beautifully with her own little toiletry set!
Good size room, slightly obscured view but wonderful all the same.
My only gripe was that the sound insulation between rooms and on windows is not very good as a group of people decided to have a long and very loud chat in the back street below at 5am! Unfortunately, this disturbed my very comfortable sleep.
Good breakfast in a beautiful room.
