“Michelin star style food at decent price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

The daily 15€ menu at lunch time is excellent and also the pincho bar, but go upstairs for an extraordinary dinner.
Nacho, the chef, is a former Michelin star holder and you can really note that.
One night Nacho said to me: Just tell me if there is something you do not like and I will prepare a dinner you will never forget. He was absolutely right. A wonderful selection of his most exquisite dishes and a fantastic combination of wines too.
Try it out yourself!

“Great pinxtos!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

The wine suggestions were great, as were the pinchos! The prices were very reasonable and the staff very friendly.

“Good modern tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Nice atmosphere and good slightly innovative tapas. Take a look at the elaborate pinchos on the bar. Try the cheese - it is excellent and let one of the waitress recommend you some wine. Good place - will be back

“Average food at decent prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Average €20 menu, with limited choice of courses. Banana semifredo was disapointing. Service was nice but took the wrong orders.
Ceiling of mezzanine floor is pretty low. Watchout if you are over 6 ft!! Overall, an ok experience but we expected more given current ranking (#5) in Trip advisor.

“Gourmet food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

There are two ways to go at this restaurant and you can't go wrong either way. Downstairs, it's a more casual environment with great tapas and pinchos and a wide selection of wines. Some of their regular menu items can be ordered there as a tapa or ración portion (if you don't want to order the full size). Great for a quick bite and excellent service. Upstairs, you eat a la carte with soft jazz playing in the background. Their menu is creative and takes advantage of local fish and produce. You can go as simple as a salmorejo with a touch of anchoas (their twist on the original version) or as far out as a tuna tartare with foie gras. Everything is delicious. Be adventurous! The chef will come and check on you, tell you the specials and take your order. Then waiters serve your food and make sure all your needs are met. Definitely one of the best meals ever in Santander. The only negative, in my opinion, is the lighting. Dimmer lights would suit the place better. Other than that, a perfect dinner!
