“A must for wine lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Excellent traditional Spanish food. This is not a Michelin * place. I greatly enjoyed the food but what makes this place unmissable is the wine list, put together with great expertise and genuine passion by Andres. He gives great advice as well. This is not a list to impress and show off but a list to discover and explore. Andres special love seems to be for the Jura but there are many other expertly chosen wines from unexpected sources. And the prices for these gems are almost shockingly low - sometimes near retail price (for some wines that are nearly impossible to find at retail). What a great place!

“Great experience, great atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

On a warm Saturday night in June, the place was packed. We excused our way through to the counter and ordered drinks and a small tapa - the food was very good, the drinks were better, there were seats, the service was EXCELLENT (fast and friendly), the price adequate, the atmosphere wonderful. The collection of alcoholic beverages is incredible: bottles dating a hundred years and more lined the counters, the walls and even the ceiling.
Definitely a must-do!

“Wonderful tapas bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

This was a real find in Santander. Old style tapas bar with the Jambon legs hanging from the ceiling. Great range of tapas at the bar- bacalao, prawns, jambon, tortilla (Spanish omelette), goats cheese and chorizo to name but a few ranging from €2 or so.
The cana (about 1/3 of a pint) was €1.80 with small wines at €1.40.
Highly recommended. We returned a few times during our time in Santander.
Closes at about 4pm to re-open at 8pm.

“Traditional Pinchos and good wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We stopped for a quick lunch and enjoyed the traditional pinchos and good wine in a classic bodega setting. Quick service at the bar and an amazing selection of wines including a good range of wines by the glass.

“Overated!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

The menu was in Spanish, and the restaurant was filled with Spanish families, so we thought it would be better quality than it was. We were disappointed.
