“Comfortable Hotel In a Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We recently stayed here for two nights. We had reserved a double room with balcony and sea view and had requested an upper floor. It is always nice to have one's request met and so we were pleased to be allocated a top floor room with views over the marina. The room was spacious, comfortable and reasonably equipped with a small table and 2 armchairs, a mini-bar and flat screen TV. The balcony was small but there was room for a table and two chairs. The bathroom was a good size with a shower over bath, a separate shower cubicle and a separate toilet with bidet.
The reception staff were efficient and helpful. We did not come into contact with other staff members as we were staying on a room only basis - the hotel is surrounded by great cafeterias and restaurants offering excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinners - from quick snacks to fine dining.
The location is excellent - within easy walking distance of most parts of the city you would want or need to go e.g. the ferry port, cathedral, shops, bus and train stations, etc.
We found the service and accommodation entirely of a standard which one should expect of a hotel of this category. We would and perhaps will stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located base from which to explore the city of Santander. We have rated it as very good taking account not only of the standard of service and comfort we experienced but also taking account of the location and size the hotel - with only between 40 and 50 rooms which gives a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.

We arrived on a Friday evening and were given a room at the rear of the hotel which did not even have a view of the sky. We would have liked a sea view but as the hotel was fully booked for the weekend could not obtain a sea view room. No doubt we could have changed later the next week but did not relish the thought of packing everything up again. In any case the room was very comfortable and nicely furnished in a modern contemporary style so decided to stay
put.

Breakfast in the smart diningg room was excellent with plenty of nicely presented fresh food to please all tastes.
The location could not be better. Walk one way to the beaches or take a bus from the stop opposite the hotel. Otherwise walk for about 5 minutes into the town's bar and restaurant area where you will find dozens of places to eat and drink. A little further on will take you into the commercial area where you will find the bus and train station.
The hotel is in a smart parade of shops and is a great place to sit outside with a long drink, relax and enjoy a view of the harbour and watch the prosperous and chic locals parade up and down in their finest clothes.

We have to thank Oscar in reception for his helpful advice on local restaurants etc.
Santander is certainly a find with some of the best beaches we have ever seen, and we look forward to another visit staying at this friendly hotel and exploring the area some more.

Room Tip: Ask if a sea view room is available.

After a swift 15 minute taxi ride from the airport we checked in with the help of a lovely receptionist. We were given a sea view room even though we had paid for a basic room. How pleased were we when we walked int he room. The view is stunning. Thank you so much Vincci. The room was clean, comfortable and the products provided were excellent. We enjoyed out 2 night stay so much we are coming back for a long weekend. i will make sure I pay for a sea view as it will be worth evey penny. Although it was all the nicer getting it free. The hotel is located close to the bars and restaurants. Absolutly excellent place to stay for many many reasons.

Stayed on a two night break with Brittany Ferries. First class organisation on the crossing and an excellent meal in the restaurant on the Pont Aven - it was a real bonus being able to book the table in advance. All aspects of the hotel were excellent, a really friendly welcome and a comfortable room with a great view of the marina. The breakfast was all you could want, with great service from the gentleman on duty on our first morning. Reception very kindly looked after our cases until the return crossing. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly for the service we received and the facilities on offer - our sincere thanks.

We had a short break to Santander and stayed in this hotel which is within easy walking distance of the main town and ferry port.

The staff were very helpful and accepted our attempts at Spanish but also had good English.

The room was very clean, comfortable with good facilities and good air conditioning, but was a little small. We had a view of the sea and marina which would have been better from higher floor. The late check out facility is also very helpful as our ferry was at 9.30pm.

There is no restaurant at the hotel but breakfast was excellent and room service was reasonably priced and tasty, delivered by cheerful staff.

We would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors to enhance the view.

There is a 5 star hotel in the town which in turn is still as classical as it was when founded in s. XIX ( luxury stands stable!! ) and a few 4 star hotels spread through the whole city mainly along the coast. In my opinion, this is the place where to stay. The location is facing the bay ( obviously with a sea view room ) close to the main business and touristic places, Best restaurants are in a walking distance. As this is not a beach hotel, don't expect to find the beach in front of you although the Sardinero beach is only 5 minute car distance. Noiseless room and a super bed is a succesful formula to rest and you find it in this hotel. Bath is according the 4 star rating of the house. Flat Tv and wifi is available in the room. Breakfast offers anything you fancy in the morning. Parking for the car has to be paid. A bar and a terrace is available close to the lobby however a formal restaurant is not found although the room service will meet your needs in the room. In sum, best view of the town in a quiet area in the heart of this beautiful city. Average price depending of the offers you might find, ranges about the 100-125 euros.

Room Tip: No doubt a sea view!!!!!!

Our few days were arranged by Brittant Ferries. This hotel was their recommendation... How right they were! Situated near the center within easy reach of the Ferry Port. Our room overlooked the port and the Yacht harbour. Every member of staff went out of their way to be helphul, and welcoming. The small dining room on the 2nd floor provided a great choice of food for breakfast.
There are tables outside where one can enjoy a light lunch (saving the waist line for one of the wonderful restaueants). Equally sitting outside having a drink and watching the locals promenading was a delight. Santander is a beautiful city. The surrounding country is awsome. But there are too many motorways and now few small roads leading to old villages. I send a big thank you to the hotel, its management and staff
