“Simple but nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2011

Been to Poco Loco a couple of times, this time we couldnt sit outside as it was a bit chilli so went inside where I was happy to find that the place is as nice inside as it is outside. Generally speaking the food is on the simple side (still nice), but its good value for money and I like the service. Also convenient if staying at Casablanca and not feeling like going down the 100+ steps to town

“Nice try but way short of the mark.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2011

I went with a group of students and was able to try the following items.
Nachos: not bad. They were served with some passable guacamole and typical pickled jalapeño peppers. The salsas, however, were a joke; the red one was bland if piquant enough, and the orange one almost tasteless and apparently made from mayonnaise.
Margaritas (the classic ones from lime, served in a salt-rimmed glass). Terrible. Too sweet, with an artificial aftertaste and hardly any flavor of tequila. Avoid.
Fajitas mixtas: a tragedy, they were made with a bland cheese which caused the dish to quickly become a single hunk of fat, plus they were seriously overdosed with oregano.
Tortillas: they apparently only have flour tortillas, which were the typical industrial variety.
Dessert items: I watched my companions eat two of the 3 or 4 choices available and they were small confused dishes buried in whipped cream. Avoid.
Missing from the menu: tamales, mole poblano, enchiladas, cochinita pibil, etc., etc.
So aside from the photograph of Emiliano Zapata I didn't percieve much Mexico.
