“Its an average hotel.”

Its a super average hotel that is far away from everything. It didn't help that from our balcony we had a life changing view of a motorway and a lidl supermarket.

It does have pluses. These mainly come in the form of helpful multi lingual staff but thats about as far as it goes.

For you're hard earned euro there are cheaper better options that are better located, have a way better breakfast and a view that doesn't only cater to the lover of brutalist utilitarian urban motorways.

Room Tip: come to tenerife and get a room with a view of an amazing motorway.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a guided tour of the Canary Islands in March. Our room was large with a separate lounge - and a area with a small kitchen refrigerator. The hotel is built on a high hill right in front of the sea. The view from the large balcony of our room was absolutely amazing, facing the enormous Teide mountain.

There was a Good free internet connection next to the reception area - but we heard people complaining about the sporadic internet connection in their rooms, for which they were asked to pay extra.

The dining room is very large - to accomodate the many tourist staying at this hotel - with a large assortment of food - all "bufffet style".

The reception on the ground floor were extremely helpful and patient - dealing with the many tourists that had many questions.

There is a very large swimming pool for those who would like to swim - with an amazing view of the seafront.

The large bar area on the ground floor, had free entertainment each night.

As the hotel is on a hill, not in the town, one definitely needs a car - or taxi to reach the hotel from the town.

We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the sea

I went to Las Aguilas with a 70 strong research team which caused our initial problems. With so many of us, the noise grew quickly through hustle and bustle and the staff weren't particularly acceptive of this. They continually said we've had 10-20 noise complaints. If there are so many, rather than ringing us it would have been better to address in person so that it could be sorted rather than idle and shallow threats to call the police. By the end of our stay they were happy and chatted and laughed around with us, demonstrating great customer service. The staff are good fun and easy to approach making our stay more enjoyable after long days out in Teide and the barrancos doing research.
The food is amazing, if you like seafood. Being near the port of Puerto de la Cruz, there is a continual flow of fish amongst other international dishes, altered every night for variation so there is something for everyone.
The WIFI only works in the lobby unless you pay extra which I would not recommend. It is quite slow so I'd suggest only using the lobby late at night or leave your devices behind and go outside into the lush environment that Tenerife has to offer.
The rooms are huge and very spacious. Balconies are accompanied by views of the beach overlooking the pool or looking into the skies to see the snowtipped cap of Teide.
The local area is bustling with locals. Lidl is down the hill if you are half-board. Town is only a taxi trip costing 5euros where there are restaurants and bars. I wouldn't suggesting walking as the hotel is at the top of a massive hill which is a real calf burner. I would recommend the Colour Bar in town.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool have a nicer view that those looking at the mountain as there are main ro...

This is a large hotel with fantastic views. The rooms are big and clean with balconies. The ones facing the mountains get more sun than the sea facing rooms. The pools are very cold. The food is good with a very big selection at every meal. There is a free shuttle bus to the town several times a day, but the taxi is only about 5 euros.
The evening entertainment is horrendous. The drinks on all inclusive are only the local versions and if you like lighter fuel you'll be fine. The entertainment team was nowhere to be found. There was one solitary man entertaining very small children with the same routine every night. i would not recommend this hotel.

Currently based in the South of Tenerife my family and I have visited this hotel in the North of the Island a number of times, indeed I have written very positive reports on it before and also recommended it to a number of friends and family. Following a recent marvellous stay I must review it again. Wonderful big hotel suites with a large bathroom providing a spa bath. The Buffet offers excellent dining with a wider choice of dishes than in our experience is available at any of the other hotels we have tried on the Island; this comes with very good service. It was one of my daughter’s birthdays, she was 4 and the staff at the hotel went out of their way to make her feel very special which they did with great effect! We were at the hotel with a group of 10 to attend this occasion and a special table was set up for dinner, a substantial cake was provided courtesy of the hotel and the adult guests were all served up a very drinkable Cava. An absolutely outstanding, comfortable and enjoyable stay. We are off there again real soon!

We stayed for 6 nights at the Las Aguilas on February during the Carnaval. I would certainly recommend the hotel as an excellent starting point for travelling in Tenerife. The room are very big with plenty of space for the luggages. We got a room on the 4th floor with a mountain view which was very nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with ample of food selection. The WiFi operates only in the hotel-lobby (unless you want to pay extra). The hotel is located on hill top at one of the roads entering Puerto de la Cruz- there is only one small sign directing to the hotel, this can be quit confusing (at least on the first day) even with a GPS.

This is a massive hotel. I chose it for its proximity to the auto piste, as we wanted to access the wild parts of Tenerife easily. This worked well, although it has to be said the auto piste is like being on the M25, which was a bit of a shock. The hotel disappointed us in that it was much more basic than expected, with little to offer in terms of comfort and luxury. Check in was efficient but our booked mountain view room was sea facing. The reception, bar/ lounge were quite austere. The aged fittings and noisy old air con/ heating did nothing to add to the comfort. The apartment style 'suite' had a kitchen with hob and fridge but no cutlery plates or pans. We asked if it was possible to have a kettle in our room, but we're told quite brusquely that it was only English hotel that had kettles in the room! We went out a bought a travel kettle! Our shower was over the corner bath and refused to stay fixed on the upright. In its favour most of the staff were very pleasant and the house maids sensitive to our need for more blankets and pillows. It was freezing in the room. Food was standard hotel fair served school canteen style. Ie no actual service, even at dinner. Evening entertainment was varied but generally rather amateurish. Pool areas looked nice but it was too cold to partake. Do-it-yourself laundry available.

Room Tip: We were on the top/ 5th floor as requested, so it was relatively quiet but it was possible to hear v...
