“Lovely Apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Apartments are great with every thing you need. Apartments are bright and airy, very clean, great English TV channels and lounge area making them very comfortable. Laundry facilities available on the complex which is handy if you are watching your luggage weight! Service in the bar/restaurant a bit slow but prices very reasonable. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Yet again another stay here and never disappointed , great atmosphere from staff and nice safe pool in centre of apartments , will keep coming back. Only downside I could say is new metal balcony bannister , burn when touched on hot day .... So not such a good idea !!

The apartment(Timeshare)was well appointed and equipped. Our room overlooked the road but this was fairly quiet although occasional noise from rubbish collection earliesh morning.
The staff were brilliant with advice and directions.Welcome pack was helpful particularly the fruit. There was an underground garage which was well worth the cost. There were plenty of good 'eateries' within walking distance as well as supermarkets when required. The hotel bar and restaurant were adequate when you wanted an easy meal.
There was a very extensive library in one of the blocks (multinational) also a good laundrette(charged)
Pool was good with a large number of sunloungers and parasols.Various recreational activities were organised.
I had downloaded a Tom Tom map which proved most helpful with the rental car when visiting the various sites and attractions within an easy drive.

This was our 4th stay and we enjoyed our best room so far-a one bedroomed appartment on the third floor overlooking the tennis courts of the hotel next door (but with a mid-distance view of the sea, room 10306). Previously we had stayed in a studio twice and a one roomed appartment once.. I would certainly recommend the appartment over the studio for the extra space. The bedroom was seperate to the rest of the appartment and was well furnished with ample space in the wardrobes (loads of coathangers too), and 4 large drawers in the dressing table as well as the 2 bedside cabinets.

We had a breakfast bar in the kitchen diner/living room, a settee and an armchair and a tv with the basic English channels as well as sky sports 1. The crockery and kitchen utensils were all in excellent condition. The rooms are cleaned 5 times a week to a very high standard by friendly cleaning staff.

The bar staff were very polite and prices reasonable, beer 2.20 euros for example. Their snack menu was good for the price- eg squid and chips with salad for 3 euros and thin pork fillets with chips and salad for 4 euros.

If you cross over the road you'll see 2 more reasonably priced snack bars if you fancy a change from the Casablanca menu without having to walk into town or go up to La Paz. La Paz is a place that some people don't get round to visiting and is a 5 to 10 min walk up the steps by the 2 bars over the road. In La Paz you'll find a mini resort with restaurants and bars. I would certainly recommend the City bar which sells some excellent German wheat bars should you get bored with the local brew. The Botannical gardens are the far side of La Paz and well wortha visit at 3 euros.

I also recommend buying the Bono bus cards for 15 euros which entitle you to 30% off the regular price tickets. If you get one of these a visit to the old seaside port of Garachico is recommended- the original port on the island, and also to the university town of La Laguna which has many historic and cultural things to view in its old town.

It did rain most of the week but I think we were exceptionally unlucky , at least it was warm rain and we had umbrellas so were able to get out.

Room Tip: High up on the outside or facing the pool.

These appartments are spacious, clean & have well equipt kitchens. The staff are all friendly & helpfull speaking good English. The pool is warm & clean. The food is very good value but not the large menu you would get at a restaurant. The evening bar entertainment they put on is good. They are among the best appartments we've stayed in.
On the downside even though we stayed October/November it was very humid and could benefit from air conditioning instead of ceiling fans. Also the pillows are quite hard. Also be aware that they charge for a car parking space at 3.50 Euros per night.

This was the third time we'd been to Puerto de la Cruz and was the autumn half term my wife being a teacher. The weather is usually quite good though the half term was week late this year. We'd expected the apartments to be good from the reviews and yes, they are. Very spacious with solid fittings and fixtures, yes a little tacky but highest quality. Micro wave, TV, balcony furniture all a cut above the rest. Even though we'd only booked an apartment for 2 there was a breakfast bar and living room. Yes, the staff are friendly and helpful and yes they do seem to have gone to great lengths to have thought of everything. There is a good pool and masses of us beds and a bowls AstroTurf lawn and a Brit on hand to give you advice on trips or facilities. There is even an underground garage to park in though you pay extra. It's worth it as parking is always a problem and this time it was definitely worth it as there was a hurricane and there bits of trees and debris being blown across the road. The weather was exceptionally bad and we were sooo glad we were in Casablanca as we needed to avoid the car being damaged and in the ensuing days after the hurricane the rain was torrential and normal apartments would have been really miserable. True the restaurant food is pretty basic but then it's cheap as is the bar. It's pretty close to the harbour and really the steps aren't that bad. However it's a bit of a walk to the main square. People seem to keep going back there; we certainly will.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a balcony over the pool, some over the surrounding streets but they will be the ones...

We visited in October 2011, it wasn't through any travel agency, we paid only for accomnodation, so I won't be able to grade food for example. We had 3 bedroom apartment with huge balcony, kitchen, sitting room and 2 bathrooms. It was fabulous. The only disadvantage was that the bedroom windows faced one of yhe main streets so it was almost impossible to sleep with your window open. Staff was extremely friendly, however they mostly speak Spanish only. Room was clean, we recieved a welcome-wine bottle(wasn't excellent, but still). The hotel is situated quite far from the city center and quite far from the best beach in the city, and also you have to be ready to face what seems thousands of stairs if you want to get to the closest beach. The city itself is wonderful, many shops, parfumeries, bars, restaurants. One more thing- the age range was around 60, so since we are in our tweties is not very best as a company for vacation.
The weather was also fabulous- it was very warm, but not hot, and the water in the ocean- just wonderful.
