“Amazing food end exceptional service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

For our first holiday in the Canary Islands, my boyfriend and I decided to visit Puerto de la Cruz and could not have picked a better place to visit. During our week long stay we wanted to sample different cuisines but found ourselves going back to Los Tulipanes almost every night. The restaurant is located in an area where competition is rife, however Los Tulipanes has nothing to worry about! Run by a lovely husband and wife team (Noel and Tina), the quality of the food is amazing (fresh local ingredients, expertly cooked and served with a smile), the atmosphere is great (even when the restaurant is not full thanks to the staff of neighbouring establishments popping in for a chat and to sample some of the food) and the prices very fair. Both Noel and Tina speak really good English (which is a bonus as my boyfriend is no linguist!) and on more than one occasion we ended up chatting with them until the early hours while sipping great local wines and talking about everything and nothing - it felt like having a great evening with friends. We could not recommend this restaurant enough! If you are in Puerto de la Cruz make sure to visit Los Tulipanes - you will not regret it!
PS - Noel, James listened to your advice and we are now engaged (though the ring is not from Tiffany!)

“Los Tulipanes Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

What a great place to eat! Run by a lovely husband and wife team who are passionate about their profession. Excellent value for money and both good linguists which helps put travellers at their ease.
Good atmosphere and attractive presentation of the meals. Check it out!

“Our table is reserved always!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

After visiting numerous times this holiday Los Tulipanes has become our second home when visiting Tenerife. We have apartment in Puerto and have eaten in many restaurants over the last 18 years and feel this is one of the best. Your bill can be as cheap or expensive as you wish. This restaurant caters for all, Whether you have the €12.50 3 course menu or the amazing Châteaubriand the standard and service remains the same "Excellent". Noel the owner has an excellent eye for choosing wine to complement every dish. Behind every amazing man there is an amazing woman, Tina has her own unique style, warm, welcoming and most of all very friendly. Maybe there are restaurants within this area that people feel are at the same standard but after eating at Los Tulipanes you will agree that Noel and Tina are a cut above the rest. This restaurant is a first class act! Be sure to heatedness restaurant when visiting Puerto. Looking forward to seeing you in April.

“Good food and worth every Euro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

During a recent holiday I went to Los Tulipanes with friends for dinner, including bambuti and I support all said in that review. The restaurant is in an area of town where there are many other good restaurants. Los Tulipanes had a great menu and selection to choose from. On the chefs recommendation we had lamb as our main dish. Glad he suggested the lamb it was delicious. Overall the meal was good, not cheap but yes worth every euro when compared to some other 'fine' dining places in the area. We will certainly include this place as one of our places to eat when visiting Puerto de la Cruz.

“My new favourite in Puerto Cruz”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Excellent food, great service. We paid about 180 euros for four people, for three courses each plus bread, water, a bottle of Champagne and two excellent bottles of Tenerifan wine. So, maybe a little expensive by Puerto standards -- but not terribly so, and within the same price bracket as the other fine-dining restaurants in that region of town. The food was of memorable quality, the service was attentive and very friendly, and we had a really great evening. We will certainly be back next year, and it definitely counts as our new favourite venue in Puerto.
