“so good we had to go back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

as a family we usually enjoy trying as many different places as we can on holiday but Angelos was so nice we went back on my last night, also the "sales guy" the person who tried to get you to go in from the the street was very charming, and funny, being english we dont tend to like that sort of thing, i.e being hounded at every restaurant you walk past to come and sit in side, but lets face it all the sea front bars in tenerife have them. but he even remembered us from earlier in the week, and was great fun, and helpful. if i come back to Tenerife I'll come back here again and again, the food was suberb, even from the value 7.99 menu

“Many years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

My husband and I and friends and relatives have been eating here since we overheard someone on the heard someone on the beach several years ago saying how good it was. They were right! We have enjoyed every meal there. They cater for my husband's gluten free diet and as well as Italian food, they do great fish and steak dishes. Some of the staff have worked there for ages and are always welcoming. As a bonus, sunsets can be spectacular as the sun sinks over La Gomera, the neighbouring island. Prices are reasonable with a 3 course meal for 7.95 Euros pp. Well worth a try!

“Just doesn't get any better than this. Great friends, great food and great views.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2012

My partner and I have been eating and drinking (a lot) at this restaurant for the last four years. We receive a warm and heart felt welcome every time we arrive and an emotional farewell when we leave to go home. Da Angelo has many returning friends and loyal customers and I would like to tell you why.
First of all there is Johnny the PR host.
Johnny (real name Gihovani) is simply the hardest working pavement host I have ever met. He has a personality unique among these familiar workers. You will be greeted with his trade mark call, "Cold beer, sandwich, free massage anything you want. What do you want." this may not sound funny on its own but wait until a worn out carer pushing a loved one in wheel chair or a hot and sticky parent with a todler in a push chair approaches his patch along the promenade and he adds "free parking come and sit down" much to their delight.
Then there is Benny the head waiter. A charming man who's wife is expecting their first baby. Benny will attend to your every need and ensures that the minor characters in this performance deliver a first rate service on que and with a smile.
There is the location.
Ideally situated on the promenade that runs from Fanabe beach to the lower prom at Peurto Colon. If you ar familiar with the area the restaurant is below Sun Set Harbour also known as Pueblo Torviscus and over looks the setting sun in the evening and the deep blue sea during the day. The rear back drop includes the pastel colours of the buildings of Fanabe and El Duque within in the sun drenched slopes of the Tenerife mountain formation.
Da Angelo is run and owned by Lilly and her family from China and this may explain why the food is so well cooked. The Chef rarely sees the light of day unlike his many near by competitors who frequently step out on to the promenade to see why their restaurants are empty!
There is a €7.95 three course menu available day and night along with a substantial 100 plate A la Carte menu that includes fresh local fish and meat along with other international favourites that appeal to all palates. The beer is freezing cold and often served in an iced jug during the day. Bennys' knowledge of wine is outstanding. To cut a long story short my dear lady would recommend (from the €7.95 menu) marinated mussels, sirloin steak and an esquisite home made banana mousse.(She eats this every day so how good is that!).
I recommend the one of the house specialties, salt baked sea bass (that Benny flambés at your table) with banana mousse of course for afters.
Go and enjoy for yourself and find out why we along with many others have becomes not only fans but more importantly friends with this restaurant.
