I have just returned (15-18 November 2013) from Lanzarote where I had the miserable experience of booking, through an agent, a room at this complex.
It was filthy and not fit for human habitation. In fact I don't think I'd want my dog to stay in it either. It is simple to just sum it up as 'How on earth can anyone rent out a place that is so dirty, smelly and a health hazard", "Why would you, if you owned the place, want to put people in such a room that is going to get a bad review and put others off".
The Reception wasn't open for me to complain so I just sat on the balcony for the night... didn't want to get in a bed or even open my suitcase in case something crawled in it!!
In the morning I complained and man offered to change me to another room... I say why even put someone in there in the first place!!!!!!!! I did move–up the road to a different resort and had a fantastic 2 bedroomed apartment for the same money as I spent on the "Terrible Terrazas" as it should be named.
I didn't look on Trip Advisor but only wish I had. I have just looked through the photos that contributors have put on. Amazingly I see that the exact same room that I was give features in 2009 as being bad then and it really hasn't had anything done to it since then it has just got worse.
Spoke to others staying there and heard similar reports, the local pubs and restaurants all know the place and just say 'Oh, poor you' when you say where you are staying.
I've also dated and uploaded my photos.
Some of the 'owned' apartments may be OK but you don't have the option to pick one!
A good room is at any other complex!
