Having seen some poor reports on the The Coronas, I can't help wondering what some people want from a holiday, my wife and I have been here twice, Jan and July 06 (second time it was for my 50th birthday), the hotel is in a wonderful location, clean, the staff and reps so friendly and helpfull, rooms are large, with a huge double bed! The food was very very good and hot, and for two weeks stay, what a choice! Well anyway just try it for yourself, and you will be very please just like us( We hope).

Had a fortnight here at the beginning of July. It's not all saga and pensioners, I would say the average age was about late 30's/early 40s.

Was very clean and the staff are great, especially the guys in the restaurant "Hello, Jorge, Pablo, etc".

Entertainment was varied, day time activities were jolly and a bit butlins, but kept you amused if that's your thing. I'm not complaining, I'm just not a beanbag bowls type of person. Although I did do the daily quiz! Evening stuff was good, don't agree with hypnotists in general, but comedian was good as was the reps night. Enjoyed Andy especially!

Only criticism and it's a wee one, was that the access to the hotel along the beach could have been a bit better, but going thru' the Bastian wasn't a hassle, but felt like walking thru' someone else’s street.

All in all, fab holiday, great fun, clean & spacious rooms, cheery staff and I’d recommend it to anyone!

my friend and i have just returned home from a week in the coronas playa , the hotel was fab mostly couples however we are two singles in our 30's and had a fab time food/ resturant and staff where should of been 5* !!!!! by far , saxos bar is good for a laugh, and the CATALANZA Trip is very good !!! we'd heard the place is very relaxing but trust us you can make it much more lively the local bars where open till bout 3am !! with lots of kareoke, the beaches where great and having a breeze made walkin around in the heat great without the hot and sweary feeling, it was a great place hotel imaculate, staff , and the beauty room 'BODY & SOUL' was lovely for a pamper the treatments are done with expertise and iv been to a few !!! top marks, i would even go there on my own the place / area was very safe !!! what a great holiday carnt wait to go back!!!!

I went on this holiday with my mother who is 61, Im 30.

The trip was very well organised by Thompson Gold, the hotel staff were polite, helpful and couldn't do enough for you.

The food was all fresh and delicious. There could have been abit more variety and less english food, but then again alot of people still like to eat english food when on holiday.

The Thompson reps were very helpful in giving information required to enjoy your stay, some were a little over zelous round the pool with the actitivies.

We did not go to the Pavillion for the night time entertainment, but what we heard from the hotel room sounded good.

It was perfect place to stay as it was not in the centre of town but was walking distance from the shops and other beaches.

We took the day trip to Feurtaventura and this too was very well organised. This included a trip to the 8km white sands beach, but the life guards there are VERY anal about how far out you go into the ocean.

If we return to the island, we will definatly stay there again.
