“Live Band Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

The character of this bar is really good and the band was really good, a pint is 3 euro and there is table service. Well worth a look.
Access is via a long staircase so may not suite the less able.

“BEWARE .... Absolute nightmare!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Visited here during our weeks stay from 19th November, was enticed by the 3 courses for €12 offer and the footie but how wrong were we!

We had to find a table ourselves and find a waiter to serve us when the food was served it was cold and we all left the majority of the food, then when the waiter came to collect and asked about the food and we told him the response was well if you'd tried telling me before you ate half the meal I'd have done something and then how his other customers never complain so he didn't know what we were complaining about

The pudding was the only saving grace, we had to ask another waitress for our bill as the rude waiter would not engage with us

And then to top it off on the way out we heard other staff members talking. And pointing to our group sayin oh they are the moaners!

Overall I think the place is underwhelming, the food leaves a lot to be desired and the staff need to learn respect and people skills before being let loose, my advice would be avoid this place there are plenty of other much better places locally.

“Excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We ate here one evening and the food was excellent and fantastic value. A choice of 3 courses for 12.50. I had the garlic bread to start, chicken kiev for main course and chocolate fudge cake for desert. It was beautiful and the garlic chicken was as nice as I have ever eaten, wasnt able to finish the chocolate fudge cake but what I managed was lovely. My husband had the soup, steak and apple pie to finish and he said it was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and they have all the irish channels so we caught up with the weather forecast at home where it was cold and miserable!!!! Would have no hesitation in recommending this place to eat, the only downside is it is downstairs and misses the sunshine.
