“Better bars close by”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Went to this bar for breakfast, which was okay but lacked quality (i.e. seemed to be cheap ingredients) and had much better elsewhere during my stay. Asked whether a footy match on Sky that afternoon could be shown and was told that Sky footy wasn't available due to a change in the frequency. Nearly went to Linekers on the strip but went to be bar next door and although they were surprised that anyone wanted to watch the match were more than happy to put it on for me. Didn't seem to be a frequency problem there! Was told by another footy fan who watched the match with me that he had found the Crafty Cow very unfriendly and unwelcoming - so my experience didn't seem to be unique. Was told by others in my party that evening entertainment was good and brought in the punters. Went back for beers one late evening as the only bar open but again did not find it very welcoming and a bit of a 'rough old bar'.

OyOy saveloy! what a bar. Just returned from Lanzarote, had a couple of great nights in this bar, staff are great, food was excellent, will be returning this year or early next for another speciality of fish and chips.

“Fab bar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We stayed just along the road from the Crafty Cow and visited our 2nd day, and every day after. The breakfasts & dinners are great value for money, the staff couldn't be friendlier. We loved the pig racing it was a hoot. I am now the proud owner of a "pig" Tshirt for my pig winning the race. As for the previous poster expecting real pig racing in a bar, really? A big thanks to Wendy & Co. for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be paying them a visit again next year.

“Crafty Cow revisited!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Just back from a week in Lanzarote and to our delight discovered we were staying a couple of minutes walk from the Crafty Cow. On Google maps the apartments showed up as being a good bit away. We,ve visited this pub several times before and always were delighted with everything about the place. Glad to say that this visit was no exception and we spent 3 nights out of our 7 there in the Crafty Cow. We also had breakfast there which is by far the best breakfast you,ll get on the whole island! For a fiver you,ll get double bacon, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, black and white pudding, beans, hash brown, loads of toast and a big mug of tea or coffee.....you wont get half of that anywhere else that I know of in the area and we,ve tried out other places. We went in 2 nights running for dinner and had the fish the first night which was huge and the tastiest fish we,d eaten since we were last there. We had beautiful steak on the second night and looking around there were at least 5 other couples and all eating fish.
With regard to rum or vodka, the measures are twice what we,ve seen poured in several other bars and this is maintained throughout the whole night. So I,ll finish by saying Larry, Emily , Wendy and Donna, thanks for giving us a really decent place to go on our holidays and so looking forward to being back again in the future.
