Very exciting to go inside this volcanic cave, even if it's not as spectacular as regular caves, and the guide doesn't say much more than what you can read in the guide books. But being able to go through that tunnel of lava counts more than who "the greens" were and the pirate stories with which they try to sell the tickets.
Incidentally, I agree with those criticizing the tours - they seem designed for bored tourists in a rush to get back to their sundecks at Playa Blanca. Still, the cave is beautifully lit.
As for accessibility, it was a challenge to go through it with young children, but staying behind proved an advantage - we could take our time to look around and take some photos.
