“Nice walk down and up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

The red walk is one of three walks you can do in bandama. Don't do it in the heat of the day, as it can get very sunny and there is little shadow on the way. Wear good shoes, because downhill the road can be a bit slippery and therefor tricky. Bring enough water and sunscreen, and you will be down and up in 1,5 hours, with nice view and lots of lizzards.

“Love the Drive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

If you love the challenge of driving a very windy, narrow road then this is for you. Amazing view from the top of the caldera and the surrounding countryside and towns below. There is nothing at the top except the view. Would be a great place for a little cafe. This was a practice trip for the drive to El Roque Nublo (1800+mtres). If you can't do this, don't bother with the real run to the top. Watch for buses as well.

“A nice and surprising place with beautifull vieuws”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2012

This crater of a former vulcano is worth visiting. The crater covers 326 ha and the route to caldera de Bandama delivers lots of very nice vieuws. The route to Caldera could be shown
better to our opinion so : be attentive. Alongside the road to the peak there is a
restaurant with a nice vieuw (but when we were there it still wasn't open around 13.00)
On the top it gives perfect vieuws (yo can fi see till the very nothiest point of the island)
Going down (having the good route to Telde) we found out you can also get there on an easier way. But also here not much to eat or drink. We stopped (as far i can remeber)
in la atalya and were happy to find a small local pub for locals to have a cup of coffee.
