I booked this hotel for my self and boyfriend through Thompson hotels, and although the hotel was small we both really enjoyed our stay.
Our room didn't have the best view, we were on the bottom floor so mostly looking at the road and across to the other mountain but it was still nice. The rooms were a good size, with nice bedroom space, kitchen and balcony. The sun didn't rise until about 12ish which made sitting on the balcony in the morning nice while having breakfast as was cool.
We ate in the bar once, however the food wasn't to nice so we didn't again. The pool area is nice and clean and Kathy the hotel rep is really friendly, getting people involved in killer pool etc. We stayed on site one night as I wasn't well and the entertainment was fun, bingo, a quiz and a singer. The only down side was the steps up from the bars, it was okay after a night out on the drink as didn't seem to many but during the day in 25degree heat made me feel a bit weak!
There is a nice restaurant just down the road which is british owned, we got some chips one night and they were home made. Very nice. There is some fab restaurants and bars down in the shopping centre at the bottom too.
This is my third visit to Peurto Rico, first time at the Cala D'or and I can confirm I would go back. Excellent value for money.
