“Good stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

35€ a night for an studio apartment in the corner of la Gomera is not bad at all. The room are spacious enough for 4 of us. The front desk is always helpfull and happy. We didn't have breakfast so w don't know what it is like. The room is clean. The teli is good although its In Spanish you can convert it into English. We stayed for 4 days and was fantastic there are restaurant nearby the ferry is just down the road the marina is about 5 mins walk. Play ground for the kids, beach what can you ask for you are in the center. There is no parking but the roads nearby have loads of space. Although we went there and on our last day the storm hit I would say we enjoyed our trip except for our ferry which took us 5hrs to get back home to tenerife.

We only stayed here one night, but would recommend it. Really close to supermarket, beach and good restaurants. Our room was clean and the staff were really friendly, too. Only thing I would request next time is a room away from the road as although it is generally a quiet place, if you arrive there after a long travel and you want the windows open, it's not quite so peaceful.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days. We had a very enjoyable holiday and spent most of every day out walking. Hotel Villa Gomera is very conveniently situated in the town, a mere 10-15 minute walk from the ferry port – no need to take a taxi. The bus station is a 5 minute walk away; the beach is very near-by.

Our apartment was spacious and had everything required for a week’s stay. It was clean with fresh towels etc. provided daily. It had a safety deposit box (no charge) Wi-Fi is available though the connection was a little weak. We had an apartment on the street side where we enjoyed the evening sun. It wasn’t a problem for us, but some guests might find it a little noisy with the passing traffic.

We would recommend Hotel Villa Gomera – staff were excellent. It was great value for money.

We found Hotel Villa Gomera and San Sebastian to be a great centre for exploring La Gomera. We took the bus and walked everywhere – it was fantastic. To get to the amazing Garajonay National Park take the Line 1 bus to Pajiaritos (approx. 30 minutes) and from there, there are many walks. From that roundabout you can easily walk to the summit of Garajonay which is the highest point.
I would advise going to the tourist information to get maps for the walks as well as a bus time table. Information at the bus station is good.

Thanks to Hotel Villa Gomera, San Sebastian and La Gomera we had a magic trip and would love to return and walk some more..

Room Tip: If you want evening sunshine ask for a room on the street side..

We only stayed one night. We arrived on the last ferry of the evening and were met by very friendly and helpful staff. Apparently if they know they have guests arriving by ferry and it's deleyed they will keep reception open later.
The hotel was in a good position, about 15 minute walk to the ferry port, 5 minutes to the bus station and 10 to the beach.
We were recommended a couple of restaurants and the one we chose just down the road was good value.
Our room was certainly clean and well maintained. The morning staff were also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, continental / buffet style with items replenished when necessary.
We should have stayed a little longer to use San Sebastien as a base and would have been very happy to stay here.

Owner, Audaz, manages this lovely peaceful, friendly and very clean hotel and apartments.

This is such a delightful place where nothing seems too much trouble for Audaz, who always seems to be smiling and ready, to help his guests.

Great value for money and we cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: The best place to stay in San Sebastián, La Gomera.

We rented a room at the hotel. The service we found very good as well as the location - central and quiet. It took less than 10 minutes to go to the beach and 5 to the center of the city on foot. They helped us find a taxi to the National Park Garajonay. Even for people who don't speak Spanish it is a perfect place to stay since the staff speaks both English and German. We really enjoyed our stay.

We rented a Studio Apartment with a veranda facing the patio.
This was central and quet and just what we wanted at that time.

We have only been to the apartments but that was an enjoyable experience. Nice staff and clean rooms.

If you have a room or an apartment facing the street you will hear some noice from the traffic as in every town.
