“The worst canarian restaurant so far”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

We have been many times in the canary islands, la gomera, tenerife, lanzarote, fuerteventura.
So far, this was my worst experience. We had some tuna fish supposed to be fresh. It was very dry, untasty. Mojo sauce (the red once) was swimming in some kind of oil, too much oil. Salad was made with some vegetables plus huge pieces of onions. We had also some sardines and they were so salted that we could not eat them. Everything we had was really bad. Toilette were very old and unclean. I cannot understand some good reviews of this place. Maybe we went there on the wrong day.

“lovely family restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

You feel as if you´re in the front room of a family home! Three generations at a large table get on with their lives while mum and dad share the cooking, and daughter does the waiting on tables, in between playing with her own lovely little girl. Good fish and salad. Excellent chick pea soup - try it, it´s lovely and very filling. Good VFM

“Try the fish croquetas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

It's taken TripAdvisor over 2 months to put La Brenusca on the site so I can't remember a great deal now... Other than the fish croquetas were excellent, so I had them on both visits. Generous fish (but not too fishy), and perfectly fried - light and crispy outsides and fluffy inside. Best fish croquetas we had in our two week holiday. Fresh pressed orange juice is. Good sized portions of salad and chips.

La Brenusca is on one of the main streets in La Gomera, good for a snack/ lunch/ brunch. Family run place, dad and his two daughters out front, mum cooking out back, and a selection of children and husbands adding interest. Doesn't try to cater to the tourists who flock over every day on the ferry from Tenerife.
