“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We arrived quite late in the evening and it was busy, a mix of families, couples and groups of friends. The service was good, the food well prepared and presented and a reasonable price.

“Consistently Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

I would start off by saying that in my opinion the previous reviewer reviewed the wrong restaurant. I think they are talking about Tasca La Salamander (not sure of the spelling) which is a different restaurant to "La Tasca". La Tasca has no outside seating area.

La Tasca is local, friendly, incredibly cheap for the plateful you get and the husband and wife team who run it are lovely, even though their English is limited and our Spanish is almost non-existent. We still manage to have a chat with them and we all understand the meaning.

We have eaten in La Tasca at least a dozen times over several trips and have never been disappointed. The place is always full of local people, which to me is a good sign with any restaurant.

There is a large and varied menu, the pizza's are especially good and the service is quick and friendly. On average it has cost us less than 20 euros for dinner each time we have been.

A word of caution, unless you have a very big appetite then be wary of ordering too many courses or you may burst!

“A lovely evening......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

This was the first restaurant we have visited in La Gomera and it was a lovely evening. The food was good, service friendly and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. I had king prawns which were wonderful. Although my husband had a slight problem with his chicken it was quickly resolved. Desserts were a fun affair. I'm sure we'll revisit before the end of our holiday.

“burnies' 37th visit to la Gomera”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

Wide choice of menu items and range of prices. Youngsters can eat here for a reasonable price. Attentive service by family members and patrons welcomed for a full meal or a pizza and coke. Good value for money.

“Excellent value; top notch pizzas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2011

Very good local restaurant in centre of San Sebastian. All the usual menu items but we go here for the pizzas. Have to say, I don't usually go for pizzas but these are very good indeed. Prepared consistently, lots of ingredients and interesting combinations which work well. Cooked to perfection in proper pizza oven. Very popular with the locals, too.
