“it's tiny!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

If you have seen a big nice Zoo (e.g. London), this one is small! It says it is 800.000 sq.m but I think if you add a garden where you can buy plants (it's huge!). I've never seen the garden centre like that...It's really nice but if you go to the zoo- it's small. You can walk in this garden centre for free! But if you go to the zoo, there are many things to pay extra- for camel ride, seal show (I think it was 5 euros), if you want to swim with with a seal- 30 euros. I mean many things are extras! Anyway, we bought very nice oranges in the local garden centre! 2 euros a kilo- but i was regretting the whole week that I bought only a kilo:))) They are lovely!

In conclusion- zoo is poor and small...

“Fab day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Well worth a visit we stayed in Caleta de Fuste you get picked up at 8.55am arrive at the zoo about 9.40am the coach leaves the zoo at 6pm but there is so much to see the flys by you get really close to the animals so many to see. The shows a excellent you can interact with the sea lions have your photo taken or swim with them (extra cost) if you like animals its a trip not to be missed.

“Totally worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

For a holiday destination zoo this is the best we have seen and by far the largest. It is easily a kilometer from the entrance to the farthest exhibit so be preparted for a day on your feet. Admittedly not quite up to the standards of say London or Dublin zoos but still and excellent place to visit particularly as it also has a botanical gradens and a raptor show.

The botanical gardens, not surprisingly, are all cacti but all the more fascinating for that. Huge flower-beds filled with giant cacti from the deserts of Mexico to the Sudan and other exoctic places around the world.

The raptor show is very good and something not to miss

THe Sea Lion encounter is a real must for anyone who want to swim with oceanic creatures and is surprisingly inexpernsive.

“Great day out”

Probably the best Zoo park I have visited. Plenty of Animal shows and a policy of rehoming rescued animals. Very knowlegable staff and vets who are happy to chat and answer questions

“Good day, but could of been better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We had a trip here and watched several of the shows, the eagal show is deffinately worth a watch but not so the reptile show as this consisted of the handler bringing round varions snakes and lizards for people to touch. I wa quite easy to push the wheelchair around with the only difficulty being up the hill towards the eagle show, a good thing to do is intreract with the lemurs.
