Description: Re-open in 2012, S'Amarador has already become the restaurant par excellence in the Port of Ciutadella. Located at the center of the port, next to the bridge, it has a fantastic terrace with the best views over the harbour as the sun sets. The spirit of the traditional fisherman's restaurant has been maintained, serving the best Menorca fresh fish. Its specialties include seafood rice dishes, shellfish and lobster stews, grilled or roasted local fish and a huge variety of tapas:prawns, crayfish, clams, mussels, anchovies, squid, etc. Its cellar holds over 120 different wines. The venue stands out for its impaccable interior design, different dinnig rooms, an interior garden which features a huge fig tree and spectacular terrace on the first floor. There is also a private dining room available.Reabierto en 2012, S'Amarador ya se ha convertido en el restaurante de referencia en el Port de Ciutadella.

“Always great value fixed price lunch”

A favourite here, always good and reliable. Best value os fixed price lunch special which is excellent. A la carte good but can be pricey. Great location and staff.

“Excellent food & nice setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Very well-cooked seafood here in a charming little courtyard (or closer to the harbour if you prefer). The food was excellent. One problem with one dish which was dealt with professionally. Service generally very good although we felt that we could have been greeted a little more warmly. Better greeting than at Cafe Balear, however, who just came across as a little rude. Certainly worth a try - can recommend the stuffed squid.

“Perfect food and setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014 via mobile

Although on inspection it looked a little expensive for a one course lunch, the bill was perfectly reasonable and we could not have asked for a more delicious meal or filling meals. Seven of us sat just inside a courtyard overlooking the harbour at lunchtime (Monday). Many of the other good restaurants don't open until 1.00pm but at 12.30pm there were already people dining. Four of us had ink squid spaghetti with clams (vongole): absolutely delicious; one grilled crayfish and two John Dory, Menorcan style. We all loved our meals and the service was good. Bottled still water was €2.40 but fizzy was €4 (all the way from Norway!!). We didn't see the price anywhere for water on any of the menus so were a little surprised but otherwise all was prefect. We will certainly return.

“Try to compete with Cafe Balear, but not yet there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Location is very nice, including the internal patio. Seafood is ok, though you wonder how many of those 'gambas' are actually coming from the fridge (as opposed to having been in the sea recently). Overall a nice place for a relaxed evening with friends. Service somehow cold and does not go the extra mile.

“Great setting and great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

At last a restaurant to rival Café Balear in Cuitadella for a great fish restaurant. Really great food and a lovely setting on the corner of the Harbour by the bridge. We have spent meals outside as well as inside and all have been very good. From Tuna and Monkfish Carpaccio to Octopus. Their Seafood Rice Soup was very good as well as their baked Monkfish with potatoes. All the dishes were very well presented and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. My Daughter has a very bad almond allergy and on telling them this they made sure each course she had was clear of almonds and advised her on her dishes she choose - this was extremely helpful and made her feel confident in enjoying her food without the worry of any reactions.
I would definitely recommend this venue for any occasion.
