We have just arrived back from the binimar after spending a week there.
First impressions of the room were that it was very basic, reminded ourselves it was a 3 star hotel so wasn't expecting it to be too luxurious!
If that's what people want then book a 5 star, however iv been to them and they have been awful.
There isn't a bad thing I could say about the binimar, my husband, myself and 3 children all had an amazing holiday.
The food is good, the service is good, never once did the children moan that they were bored as the entertainment team (which were all amazing) always had activities on throughout the day and the evening entertainment was brill.
I was very apprehensive about coming to the binimar after reading some awful reviews on here. There was no need to at all. Not once did we speak to anyone at the binimar they was unhappy with their holiday.
Would highly recommend and definitely go again!

the hotel is good obviously not much is expected as it is only three star but they didn't even have any food at the pool bar if you were all inclusive you get all your meals and desserts but now ice creams for kids for free you had to pay and the had an adult self service alcoholic bar and slush puppies for children the pools were nice and we were a ten minute walk away from a waterpark called aqua centre in calan blanes it was a great day out and we had fun we took: 14 girl,6 31 year old mum and 11 year old girl there were kids cub from 2 -11 they always have a party t was ok

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room and you'll have a lovely view

Dear Hollie,

Thank you very much for taking the time and commented about your stay at the Binimar Apartments.
Your comments are very valuable for us and give us a great opportunity to constantly adjust our services to the needs and expectation of our guests.

I am sorry that on certain levels your holiday did not live up to your expectations. I do hope I can address all the points you have raised, as we have in the contract with Thomas Cook, ice creams are high-risk regarding health, therefore we strongly recommend individually packaged ítems and served in the restaurant area only.
We would like to thank you for constructive criticism and we will pleased if you give further preference to our hotel.

Kind Regards.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

Just got back today with my son of 2 years and my partner, May 19th-2nd June, as we arrived in the hotel the rep ange was there to greet us with juice and biscuits, very small reception desk so be prepared to quiet outside for a while, the rooms in my opinion where perfect, we stayed all inclusive but still had a small kitchen in the room, bathroom is a good size and always kept clean, clearness are there every other day and are nice a smiley. The bridge pool was fantastic for my son as the splash pool was abit too much for him (better for older kids) always kept clean daily and a lifeguard on duty all day during pool opening times.

Being all inclusive and told its unlimited ice cream for kids was great..... Until you got there, you have to pay extra for ice cream unless you eat in the restaurant. The self service bar was good but could only have plastic cups.

The restaurant was excellent good choice of food available every day, however 'kids corner' wasn't that good, kids have a choice of 3 different foods. The waiters in the restaurant I felt was always over your shoulder ready to pounce to get your empty plate the second you finish which I didn't really like, I know they like to keep the place looking tidy but they was too egar. A bad point about the restaurant is at snack time you can't go down and take anything out, my son had a small piece of Apple and they wouldn't let him out with it..... It was small it's not like we was getting food for people nit all inclusive.

The entertainment team were really good with kids and adults but me my son and partner felt as though the avoided us, being around the pool they would walk around talking to people and asking if they wanted to take part in activitys or participate in the evening show but never did they come over to us and I don't know why. The evening show started with splash dance which my son loved but was too shy getting up to dance... Again the team got other kids up but didn't approach us. The first week we enjoyed all night entertainment especially foreign affairs, but I found it got abit repetitive so need up going to jimmy hills which was fantastic, they have jungle jimmy a for the kids and a evening show of a live band and cheap for drinks.

Daytime is good around the resort for kids too, most restaurants have a kids play area which is free if you buy a drink.

Over all I would recommend going to the binimar we had a good time and made the holiday ours, although if I was to return I'd stay for 1 week and probably go self catering.

Room Tip: We had a room over looking the bridge pool, fantastic and beautifully lit up at night.

For safety reasons there is a ban of glass around the pool, so drinks are served in plastic cups, but you can ask for a glass cup if you are sitting at the bar.

If you are looking for a 5 star holiday on the cheap this place is not the answer Binimar is officially 2* however don't believe all the bad you see on reviews. We were all-inclusive and the food was ok, nothing special but always something you can have. The complex is very family orientated so if you don't like the kids stuff you wont like it as much as the families do. The apartments are a little old but are being refurbished and were clean and the cleaners came every other day. The staff are amazing! the bar staff, kids club and entertainment team work tirelessly. We didn't have children with us but could still see how hard the team worked. The area outside the complex is mainly the usual tourist shops, restaurants and bars. There are no major beaches in the town only small alcoves but they are beautiful. The bus stop just at the end of the road and there are plenty of supermarkets outside the complex if you are self-catering.

we are a family of 7 with ages ranging from 5 to 83, we had rooms 219 and 221, they are basic but ok, but both rooms were plagued by ants, in the sofa bed and bathroom, and beside constant ant spray, we could not get rid of them, also if you are wheelchair bound you will need 2 strong people to lift the wheelchair bound person into the apartment. I asked the reception if a little wooden ramp could be made, but they said it is not possible, and they are not set up for the disabled, so I don't know why they have a disabled toilet. also if you are going on a bus, make sure if you are disabled, that the bus in the timetable as a ramp, because at least half the buses we waited for, had no ramp on, although in the leaflet, the rep gave we they had. also I think 50 euro for 2 weeks safe deposit plus 10 euro deposit is scandalous.

Room Tip: if they can get rid of the ants, and you have young children, rooms 219 - 229 are ideal..

Dear Colin,
Thank you very much for your recent visit to Binimar.

We highly appreciate that you took the time to let us know about your impression of your stay.

Please accept our sincere apologies for all the trouble you had. Our aim si to provide an excellent service and a high quality product.
The apartments are not ready for disable people, you ask us for a wooden ramp to safe the stairs, but for safety reasons is not posible because if you have any damage the hotel can not take any responsability. We offered you to move to another apartment near reception with not stairs and you didn' t accept.

I do hope I can address all the points you have raised.
We know that holidays are special and do our best to make them completely enjoyable.
Best Regards.

The holiday to hi binimar apartmentos, was good but not brilliant. At a 3* we didn't expect much, but there was no TV in the bedrooms, you had to get dressed to eat lunch after swimming, the youngest child (my brother age 6) had to put his top on to enter the restaurant, there was no ice creams by the pool, even for all inclusive. The beds were very uncomfy, they gave you a bad back by the end. The pools and hotel in itself was always clean and that was great, there was a pool that had no lifeguard, which had a baby pool by it, which makes no sense...For teenagers like myself there was nothing to do sadly, which quite annoyed me.
the location was great as it was near shops, restuarants, a beautiful beach and near the aquacentre, which was amazing.

Dear Olivia,

We are grateful that you took the time and trouble to write about your holiday. We take your comments very seriously and they do help to improve our standards and services.

I am sorry that on certain levels your holiday did not live up to your expectations.
The healthy low says that in restaurants you have to be dressed , and as we have in the contract with Thomas Cook, ice creams are high-risk regarding health, therefore we strongly recommend individually packaged ítems and served in the restaurant area only.
TV isn't brochured.
In the complex there is an extensive programme of entertainment, table-tennis, waterpolo, darts, basketball, billiards...we have activities for all ages.

I do hope I can address all the points that you have raised.

We know that holidays are special and do our best to make them completely enjoyable.
