This is overall a clean, pleasant hotel in a good location for the beach, Palma centre and the airport. If you have booked it and are worried about negative reviews don't be - it is fine. I envisaged it as a Spanish premier inn and that pretty much sums it up. It's not fancy but it is nice and does the job. The lobby area is really well done, the pool is nice (only 9 tatty sunbeds though, we witnessed some arguing over reserving of them whilst we were there!) and friendly Declan on reception was an absolute star - loads of local knowledge and just a lovely, helpful person.
I wouldn't want to put anyone off staying there but as I'm getting pickier as I get older I personally wouldn't go back for the following reasons: snarky, unapologetic receptionist who got our departure date wrong (trying to boot us out 2 days early then didn't even apologise when it became clear he was in the wrong), total lack of water in the shower when the hotel was full - I mean total, I stood under it for a good 5 minutes covered in shampoo waiting- we didn't have this problem when the hotel was less busy, total lack of wifi when the hotel was full, toilet doesn't flush (but our shower head could reach it so we just used that!), 'interesting' local characters on the beach (very noisy, smacking their children etc, beach was packed every single day), my own lack of confidence in Spanish - very difficult in the surrounding area to communicate effectively, swimming next to disgusting rubbish in the sea (first and last attempt - really put us off), planes flying over every 5 minutes, trolleys being pushed noisily around the pool a couple of times an hour. It just wasn't relaxing for a week long beach holiday, however, I will concede that this is maybe more to do with what I want out of a holiday than the hotel itself.
* Lidl is 10 minute walk away and you can fit quite a lot in the small room fridge if you take the shelves out (1.50 euros for lemonade at the hotel, 21 cents a can at lidl!)
* Palma centre is only 1.25 euros on the number 15 bus, bus stop really close to the hotel
* wasabi blue sushi restaurant does a combination platter for a very reasonable 29 euros
*Italian hotel food was lovely and came to about 35 euros for 2 meals, 3 drinks and 1 dessert
*Casa Fernando fish restaurant very nice but communication very difficult! Our first meal there came to 50 euros, our second around 40 but depending on what you pick it could be a lot more so be careful and ask to see prices (we had to even though it can be a bit awkward, some of the dishes are near 100 euros!)
*sunbeds on the beach 4 euros each
