“Super hotel in great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

For the price, the hotel was excellent value. The room we had was large - with a gigantic bathroom - spotless, and located a pleasant 5 minutes walk to both the heart of the city and the port. Service was very good.

chose to stay here for 10 days in august
location is far better than the other hotels on the strip that run along passeig martim
these hotels are large, tired looking and a good mile or two out if the town
the continental is in a safe side street just of av majorca and a 5 minute walk to all the shops and old town
there is a bus stop right outside ( the main bus terminus at placa espagne is a 20 min walk away where you can get buses trains and the soller train to all parts of the island)
the staff is excellent especially the young man on reception who works mornings and the lady receptionist on afternoons.
the rooms are large and very clean, with hairdrier tv bath shower bidet fridge etc
breakfast is plentiful
the hotel is quiet and calm and very well cared for
it is suited for couples but not for large rowdy crowds
i cant wait to return and would recommend staying here to anyone

Room Tip: ask for room with balcony

|I stayed there for one night on the 21st of August .
The hotel is in Palma centre so easy to walk to the cathedrale district , the port ...etc . You can get ther by bus from the airport using BUS Line Nbr 1 and stop at Paseig Mallorca 18 . The trip is charged 2.5 euros .
The hotel is very clean with marble floor , the room are spacious and the bathroom with combined tub/shower , bidet toilet and sink.
The staff is friendly at the reception and at bar/restaurant
I paid 87 Euos for the night , accomodation only .
What I liked less :
- there is free wi-fi but it keeps disconnecting and you need to log on again using a very long user name and password
- Certainly the room is cheaper than the competion in the same district but you have to pay for breakfast 12.00 euros
- The fitness was left in the dark so not really welcoming
- The Spa which consist of a samll jacuzzi a steam and a saune were switched off and there is a placard telling you top warn recption 2 hours before use , so it was empty but did not use it as then too late for me to wait until everything warns up ..
- The room key is a normal key with heavy keyring that you have to let at recption and take back when you return . I much prefer an electronic key you carry with you .
- THe hotel is very calm but you can hear the noise from the street in the morning
I like calm hotels but this one is too quiet and there is no activity inside , so a bit boring . I much prefered the Jaime III with Spa opened until 2030 that you wre free to use at your conveninence and also a possiblity to have a coffee or drink outside .

My wife and I stayed at the Continental for one night prior to going on a cruise the next day. It was a fantastic experience from the very beginning - a beautiful reception area with marble floor and stylish furniture, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious with large bed, first class bathroom and all decorated to the highest standard.

The biggest surprise was the breakfast. In 20 years of travelling throughout Europe, this was the best breakfast that we have had. A superb buffet with a wide range of cereal, fruit, meats, salmon etc.etc.

This hotel is in an excellent location close to the Passeig Mallarca bus stop (the bus runs from from the airport and to the Port), close to the seafront and within a couple of minutes walk from the Jaime III avenue with its excellent shops and the Cathedral area.

When our cruise docked in Palma a week later, we had a day to spend in Palma before our evening flight and the hotel graciously agreed to store our bags for the afternoon while we explored this beautiful city.

We paid Euro 159 for the one night stay (two persons) during the peak season (22 July) and both of us think that it was an excellent choice and very good value for money.

Stayed there in 05/2012. It is a great hotel! To arrive there, the airport bus stop is 2 mins away. The Loby is really nice and clean. The 2 guys at the reception speaks a little english ( enough to answer your questions). My room was big and the bathroom almost as big as the room! I really like having a small fridge in my room so I could keep my bottle of water cold ( convenient for hot weather). The bed was confortable and the room had great view on the Windmills next to the hotels plus a bit of the port as my room was quite high level. The Turkish bath, jacuzzi and sauna aren't free... however the gym is. Went to the gym at 8:30 in the morning and was there on my own. For those complaining that the machines are in spanish. If you are a gym user, you simply know how it works in any languages :) Walking distance to port is about 6-7 min. Nice places to eat next corner. 15 min walk from Cathedral. Oh and also, when I was leaving to go to Magalluf, I asked the guy at the reception which bus I could take and how it works. He printed out the bus schedules for me from the Palma Transport website. Really appreciated! Overall: enjoyed my stay!

I had read previous travelers reviews and became a little skeptical but decided to book anyway and glad I did. The Hotel was was just right with all the staff being most helpful from the front desk to the morning buffet breakfast. Of course the price was also spot on and thought it was great value for money. The Hotel and the room were spotless, as well as being well appointed. I had a room with a balcony facing the main street entrance with surprisingly little noise and good views of Palma.
It is within a short walking distance to central Palma and in a great neighbourhood near some fine restaurants.
I will return!!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the main street are sunny and during February it was quiet on the street. I enjoye...

This wasn't our planned hotel but after being bumped from the HM Jaime III we arrived to an unfriendly welcome at reception despite us being sent here by the other hotel. The chap made us feel like we were an inconvenience to his late night nap.
The room was spacious and pleasant but at the front so a bit noisy, the room had a quality finish even though it was not to our taste.
Breakfast offered a great choice and was tasty.
I wouldn't personally choose to stay here as it's not really our 'thing' and is a bit further from the city centre than we'd planned.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid the street noise
