“Nice hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Good room, except for no 511 that had a lot of mold in the bathroom - so watch up if you´re allergic! But the staff helped us to change room directly! Nice small pool-area where you can order lunch or snacks! Very nice staff in the restaurant! God breakfast! We listened to jazz and soul two nights - really good! The view from the top floor was excellent!

Ideally located and fitted to a good standard. Bar/jazz club is a great seething for the last drink of the evening. Breakfast has wide selection and good quality. Only downsides pool a little small for the size of hotel and gets over crowded, limited number of sun loungers is inadequate.

This was my third visit to this hotel and I'm glad to have booked again with them. The hotel has been refurbished I think and was certainly looking very smart. Service was efficient and friendly and I was very impressed that they noticed my date of birth from my passport and left a lovely fresh fruit platter in our room for my birthday. The rooftop pool is perfect, especially in late afternoon with soon tapas and white wine spritzers! Wish I was back there.

Room Tip: We had a standard and a superior room but not much obvious difference. The standard room was still f...

Overall our experience was good, since the location of the hotel is really great, and even though the rooftop pool area was generally always full, we could always chill by the pool by the reception. However upon arrival the receptionist was not helpful at all, and he even became rude, when I got upset that he would not accept any of my credit cards (both of them were accepted in an other hotel in Spain a week ago). Therefore our check-in was quite unpleasant, since we had to go find an ATM, for which the cost is much higher, which also made me upset. Room cleanness is something to improve upon, but the lighting of the room is clever, nice and trendy. We experienced some noise in the bathroom, since it had a window, which cover some sort of panel.

Room Tip: try to get middle floor rooms, since noise either comes from the top floor(bar + pool) or from the s...

We stayed at the Saratoga for four nights early June, and would definitely return and recommend the hotel to others. The location is within five minutes walk of the Marina, and in the other direction, the main shopping street. With plenty of nearby restaurants - if you turn left out of hotel and after 25 yards turn right cross the Passeo de Mallorca, you will come to an area with lots of very good, moderately priced, restaurants. Alternatively, make your way to the seafront turning left heading towards the cathedral, and you will find the Pesquera which was our favourite restaurant (look for the flags on the roof). The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, offering advice on where to catch local buses/timetables to other resorts. Breakfasts at the Saratoga were very good. We were told they were 15 euros per day, but if we paid for all four mornings, they were discounted to 12 euros per day. We found it good value as they provided everything from fresh fruit, juices, yoghurts, cereals, meats, cheeses, pastries, as well as bacon, eggs, mushrooms or even griddles asparagus. One thing to watch for though: we found the bacon, mushrooms, beans etc, in the trays did not stay warm as the overhead lamps were ineffective. We waited and had the bacon and eggs cooked freshly. The jazz nights (on Mon, Thurs, Fri and Sat) are well worth a visit. Our superior room was 118 on first floor and we found no noise at all at night. Balcony overlooked large courtyard/outside breakfast area. Bathroom modern and good size with nice choice of products. There are two pools: one outside in ground floor courtyard, the other being on 7th floor. The courtyard pool was always in shade and therefore rather cold.

Room Tip: Superior rooms are larger than standard and seem to have balconies overlooking the pool/courtyard wh...

The Saratoga is a great hotel and a repeat venue for catching up with long time friends who live in different parts of the UK. I would recommend this hotel to all age groups as it's location, service and facilities are top notch and reasonably priced too.

Room Tip: Superior room 311 - nice quiet corner room overlooking the pool even though next to the lift!!

Had a lovely room on ground floor, very comfortable and airy. The hotel has a pool on the terrace and a roof top pool with lovely views of Palma.. Service was excellent and we would definitely stay again.
