“Excellent, service a tad slow but it was very busy.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

As i was looking on the ipad on trip advisor i noticed this place, I like thai so thought after reading reviews it would be worth looking at.

It was a good choice, the food was really nice, lots of flavours, it seemed to be authentic thai food with a modern twist and very well cooked/presented.

The restaurant was nice, modern, with a laid back feel to it, waiters were maybe a little short staffed which made service slow ish which would have been ok if we had been seated in the front which had a better view of the street etc but were in the back. However they were helpful and new a lot about the food.

They have a small plates section with starters which are very 'small' so maybe have 3/4 dishes between 2 people. We opted for duck and mango spring rolls, sticky pork ribs with seseme seeds and a cold prawn glass noodle salad (can't quite remember what was in it but it wasnt my fav. The ribs and spring roll, both beautiful.

For a main we shared the duck curry with plum sauce with rice, Now, im no expert but it tasted similar to a massaman thai curry and i had been expecting it to be a little sweeter as it stated plum sauce on the menu, not that im complaining. The duck came on the bone, fell off the bone so easily and with the creamy plum/massaman sauce tasted amazing 10/10. It was a good sized portion so sharing one suited us.

We decided after seeing the deserts coming out on tables next to us we would have to try the chocolate chilli desert (bad description of it). It was worth it and i would def reccomend it.

2 small dishes, a noodle salad,1 main, 1 rice, 1 desert, 1 cava, 2 waters, 3 beers. 60 euro including tip.

Overall we had a good night, enjoyed the food, service and restaurant. I would reccomend this place to any thai lovers and anyone who wants to try something new which is going to be tasty, full of flavour and interesting.

We will return.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We visited Koh after reading the fantastic reviews on TA and we loved it! So much so that we rebooked to return 7 days later.

We called on the off chance and was very lucky to get the last table so booking in advance is advisable.

We received a very warm welcome and we immediately thought that we were in for a good night and we wasn't wrong. The style of the place is modern, minimalistic and pleasing on the eye. The ambiance is very chilled and the service was friendly and timely.

We kicked off with a kumquat gin and tonic which was lovely. Onto the food; Yum Yum Yum. We had chicken satay and salmon fish cakes both of which were beautifully presented with accompaniments of chilli jam, coconut milk infused with lime and a different type of peanut sauce. Mains were Penang beef cheek curry, jasmine rice and tamarind noodles with chicken and prawn. All were delicious! On a personal note, I would have preferred my noodles a little bit spicier but I'm sure that this would be done on request. One thing that was good was we asked if we needed to order anything to accompany the noodles and was told that we didn't need anything else. A nice touch not to be taken advantage of and sold a heap of food which would be wasted.

The wine list is varying in choice and price so there is something for everyone.

All of the staff were really friendly and chilled but at the same time delivered really good service.

To summarise, this is a fab place and very worthy of their high ranking on TA. We will be back on Wednesday evening to sample more of their delights. We cannot wait!

“Zingy dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

The flavours of the zingy fresh fish were such a nice change. So well done with an interesting menu and nice serving staff. The whole night was lovely, finished with a slow walk back to our hotel.
