“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

Went to Toque based on tripadvisor reviews and it was excellent! For starters we had the marinated salmon and the special of the night which was carpaccio of prawns, both amazing and very different from anything we have had before! For mains we had both the specials which were crusted rack of lamb and red mullet and again both were excellent and cooked to perfection. For dessert we shared the creme brulee which was just as good. Can thoroughly recommend this place. It's not the most flash of restaurants or in a busy tourist area but it definitely doesn't need to be when it serves food this good!

“Must Visit While in Palma”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Our host, a Palma resident, highly recommended this restaurant to us. He mentioned that it was the best food in Mallorca and the best value - 13 Euros for the fixed-price lunch menu. After spending 3 weeks in Mallorca and 3 visits to Toque, we definitely agreed! The food was what I would expect from a 5-star restaurant - fresh, local ingredients, interesting flavors, perfectly seasoned, and great presentation. And the value is unbeatable. For the fixed-lunch menu, one gets to choose from 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 3 deserts plus, bread, water and a beverage (wine, beer, etc.). A la carte is available but we always had the menu. The owner, Christian, and his staff carefully plan their menu each week and the menu changes every day. On the three separate occasions we ate there, we did not see an item duplicated and everything was cooked perfectly. The fresh pasta with shrimp and salmon fillet with Asian vegetables (pictured) were among my favorites. What a refreshing change from tapas! I will definitely make sure to revisit when I return to Mallorca. They are closed for dinner on Sunday and all day Monday. Lunch hours are 1pm-3:30pm.

“Superb dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We went to Toque on the basis of favourable reviews on here and we were not disappointed. The service was great. It's a father and son team; the son being the chef and his dad was front of house. They were so friendly, which really contributed to the dining experience. The food was fresh and tasty; special mention goes to the suckling pig which was just phenomenal! The chocolate fondant was also well worth the wait. They have an extensive wine and beer menu too. The restaurant got really busy when we were there and some customers were turned away because there was no space for them. So, make sure that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Believe the hype - this place is as good as people are saying!

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Owned and run by a Belgian chef the food and service was excellent. We had a superb meal and the dessert was just unbelievably delicious. They had a great wine menu and we had a very tasty bottle of red wine. The restaurant is in the new town so we took a taxi from our hotel in the old town for this (7 euros each way). Definitely worth giving it a go, the food was delicious and the staff were brilliant.

“Top notch Toque!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We visited this place purely on the basis of it's Trip Advisor reviews. Good call!
It's a bit out of the centre. Neither our hotel receptionist or taxi driver had heard of it, so we had initial concerns. Was this just somewhere that's been hyped up by it's own staff and a few friends? No way!
One of the best meals we've eaten abroad. The owner is a nice bloke, a Belgian (and why not!) What he doesn't know about Belgian beer isn't worth knowing. He introduced me to a few crackers (sore head next day...)
The food was just great. Not massive portions, so we had three courses each. For starters, goats cheese parcels/salmon. Fab. Main course, suckling pig (mmm...) and duck (nice but my wife prefers it slightly more 'well done'). Puds, creme brulee (best ever) and apricot crumble (ok, but not quite sweet enough?).
Not a very extensive menu, but you're bound to find something you like (not sure about if you're a veggie, but I'll bet they could find a carrot for you to chew on...)
Price was very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. We really liked the personal attention/advice from the owner.
All in all a great place. Worth going just for the beer. Full marks.

Thank you very much for your very nice revue.
It is a great pleasure for us receiving nice support like yours and this help us to follow working hard, and making our best to give you a better food and service. I am very sorry about the cooking of the duck, but from now on I will make sure to well understand how the customers like the duck breast cook.
You have to adapt you self a little bit of the habit of every country to understand what everybody understand really by “medium” cook.
We are waiting to see you again to serve you nice food and for other beer testing ……
Best regards
Christian, Claude monti, and all the restaurant staff.
