We arrived at the mirlos, after sending an email to request a room in that building, to find the reception staff very helpful, the reception, bar and general area was also extremely spotless. I had researched the hotel on this site and others to mixed reviews so didn't know what to expect, I was not disappointed! To the reviewers that are derogatory to the hotel, I do not understand these at all.
I was on holiday with my husband and 1 year old daughter and was so scared about what she was going to eat, i shouldn't have worried, the food in both restaurants was excellent, the choice was great and she ended eating more things than i did! The staff in the restaurants were wonderful, constantly clearing tables, helping with highchairs and the baby. They were always making my daughter laugh and smile. I did read that you had to eat in the restaurant you were booked into but that wasn't the case at all, you were welcomed into either.
The rooms were clean and the maids were round everyday, towels changed everyday and sheets/beds were done every other day, the room was an ample size for the two of us and a cot for the baby. Everything in the room worked (air con, toilet etc.) and was very safe for my very active daughter.
The pool areas were very clean. The Flinstones land was wonderful for the kids, both childrens pools were busy but you could still get sunbeds, we did a lot of walking in a morning and after lunch there was always free beds. A couple of days we put our daughter in the baby rocks club, it is a wonderful soft play kids club. The carer was great with the children and my daughter took to her straightaway and never looked back as I walked away! In the soft play there was so many toys my daughter never knew what to play with first.
Every night there was different entertainment, while we were there, they had Robbie Williams tribute, Magic night, High st musical, Tom Jones tribute, Round the world party night, Michael Jackson tribute, the quality was great. The bar areas were always well staffed and you never had to wait long to be served.
On the whole this was a wonderful hotel, excellent staff and we are already planning our next trip back and i for one cannot wait!

Room Tip: We were in room 510. It was right on the front, at the end of the corridor. The road was always busy...

we arrived at this hotel on the 9th june we got dropped off at the tordos to be greeted by a young grumpy unhelpful receptionist at 3.30am in the morning to b told we was not staying in the tordos we where staying in the mirlos was quite glad really as the tordos on first impression looked scruffy mirlos is a lot better, we had 1 room for 2 adults 2 children it was 2 single beds pushed together with bunk beds to say u cant swing a cat in the room was an understatement u literaly cant move, sunbeds was a nightmare u would have people putting towels on sun loungers and not using them all day ( selfish people ), fooid was good plenty of choice, staff r polite in restaurant and bar made my family very welcome especially the bar staff :) , if u go to tordos for the entertainment be early and if u r lucky to get a table make sure u glue it down as one night it was literly lifted from us entertainment good for the kids hotel clean, palma itself is lovely will return to palma but to a differrent hotel not because of the hotel but because the over pack the hotel and there isnt enough seats etc we went june the 9th would not like to go in high season u would b like sARDINES everyone commented re: fighting for seats etc.

Room Tip: if u are 2 adults 2 chilren book a family room we made the mistake of having 1 room and it is just 2...

we were enjoying our third visit to hotel until we decided to have what looked like a healthy salad. i was stopped by a fellow holiday maker as i spooned sweetcorn onto my plate. she spotted the maggot on my plate, called over the cook pointed to the maggot, the cook plucked maggot off my plate and shrugged her shoulders, she then dropped it on the floor and squashed it with her shoe. the tray of sweetcorn remained on cool counter. we ate out after that. we did report this and are still waiting for comments from both hotel staff and rep.another day floor manager blew his nose in serviette as he stood beside cereal area.we didnt see him wash hands but did see him refill cereal bowl and pat them down with ungloved hand.we wont be going back.

Our bus droped us of at the Tordos building where we have found out our room is in Mirlos. There were no baggage troleys or anyone to help to take to the other building. It was unconvenient with 3 big suitcases, 3 bags, a pushchair and 2 small kids. Our room was very clean, a bit small but we had a balcony too. The food was absolutely fantastic! 1 meet and 1 fish every night on the grill, lots of salads and many other things to choose from. I have coeliac disease and the restaurant managers always made sure I was looked after. They were friendly, and very accomodating. We have booked all inclusive and that was a very good choice. In the bar they had a good selection of drinks. The bar staff was a bit grumpy.
The hotel is very well located, a few minutes walk from shop, and the beach.
Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Manageresses are very friendly and always acknowledges us. Especially Annabelle.
The kids loved the pool and the Flintstones caracters. Our eldest daughter visited the "nursery" twice for an hour and she had a very good time. Kids loved the mini disco. The only negativ thing was there wasn't enough information about the entertainment for kids and what is going on. Apparently the Fred, Dino or Barney appeared 4 times a day. We have only seen them at the mini disco and once at the kids pool.At this occasion you could have pictures with him. Also they did not have a rota for which night which caracter will come out as we have seen Fred 3 following nights, and we have never seen Barney while we were there. It would have been useful to know when they appear and where and what they are doing. Our daughter would have loved a photo with Dino but when we have seen him there wasn't a chance.
There was a small playground for the kids.
All together we had a fantastic time and would go again!

Room Tip: If you would like a quieter room, ask for one in the Mirlos building at the kids pool end. On the ot...

We definately had a great value for our money holiday in this hotel. Food was good and always something for everyone. Drink the local drinks which are included on the all inclusive were actually ok and drinkable. The bar staff left a lot to be desired, they were grumpy, unhelpful and delibrately slow. There were two good staff actually but they weren't on all the time. Yes lifts were a prob as only 2 small ones, and one kept breaking down. the pools area was lovely oor room was lovely and kept clean very well. the entertainment was actually very good. good family holiday abroad and great value. also great location for seeing everything.
All the kids there looked like they have great fun.

me my partner and 2 children stayed here for a week in august when we arrived we waited 2 hours for a room and had nowhere to get changed there were 2 lifts for the whole hotel had 2 wait ages they were so small u cud just about fit 1 pushchair 2 adults and a child in .
the hotel is in a great location near the shops and not far from the beautiful beach it has 3 swimming pools and a great park for the kids but unfortunatly if u wanted a sunbed u had to queue for half an hour in the morning and they were side by side not my seen really so we spent most our days on the beach there are two hotels that share the 3 swimming pools the mirlos which is beautiful and the tordos which we stayed in not as nice as the mirlos .the entertainment was good at night we had to get a seat by 6.30pm or u had no chance because both hotels share the same entertainment and queues for drinks were ridiculos.
the bar closed at 12pm for outside and by 1205pm the staff were asking us to go inside so they could clean all the chairs away i was not happy about this if ive paid for my hols ill sit outside if i want to .
the staff were unfriendly if you didnt do what they wanted you to like me not going inside at 1205pm they didnt like it one bit they didnt like helping you in the dining area either i only asked for a spoon the look i was given and told to ask someone else was again uncalled for.the food was brill though good choice and was nice. Our room was ok a bit cramped but nice views and was a bit dirty on arrival dirty mirrors and tv and dust all under the bed we waited 2 hours for them to clean it i expected it to be clean.
be carefull about the kids club aswell they expect you to pay 7 euro i paid for an hour a pirates thing which was crap my child was left to her own devices by the pool glad i went to check her all the kids were doing as they like by the pools not acceptable.
you can upgrade ur wristband to gold which means you can drink as much as u like of anything all brand names not sure how much xtra u have to see the reception on arrival .
im really not a moaner and normally overlook stuff but i paid alot for this holiday and expected what i paid for and didnt get it . so if u like a really busy hotel and hustle an bustle this is for u .

Room Tip: ask for low floor and pool view
