“Good and confortable hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012 via mobile

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is confortable, quite centrally located.
The room was big enough, the bathroom well equiped.
Very calm at night and even in the morning, no noises from the street nor from the other rooms.
Nice and efficient staff. Free wifi ( a bit too slow ). Paying fitness center (€13).

Our first visit to the Silken chain will not be our last. we got a great deal online and were bowled over with the luxury and service. The desk gave us a recommendation for a terrif nearby restaurant open on Sunday night. We were real pleased.

General

A lovely hotel framed in a classic façade and convenient location to explore the city. Convenient parking under the hotel with direct access to the lobby and rooms – also a reasonable price.

4/5 Check-in/out: Excellent and efficient process.

4/5 Room: Nice bright room with tasteful modern but calm décor. Extremely comfortable bed and well laid out bathroom.

4/5 Ambience/General: Seating area in the Lobby and a pleasant bar and restaurant.

Food

3/5 Breakfast; Reasonable but not exciting.

5/5 Staff; Extremely efficient in all areas

Average Summary Score:4.0 / 5

Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed there for only one night but the hotel was really comfortable. We found also a very convenient offer on the Internet (around 70 euro per night), so we enjoyed even more our stay. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom had also the same, positive, characteristics and the minibar was really good furnished. Sleeping was a really relaxing experience. Only Internet could be faster and the rooms could enjoy of a bit more light. It is just 5 minutes walking to the city center (Vitoria is a really nice and cosy city), but the position outside of it is very useful if you are by car: you don't need to go inside the small streets of the city center. I think that the hotel has a parking but the public parking just 100 m far is also a good option.
Nice stay.

We stayed there on Holiday, the hotel and room were great, very nice. The reception staff were friendly and could speak English. We paid for the breakfast which was very good. on the downside the breakfast staff however were very unfriendly, actually to the point of being rude.
on the plus side the hotel is an easy walk to the old city. Again on the downside it was the worst internet we had come across, free internet means only browsing.we had access to the exec lounge, which when we were there was free water and TV, not worth using it or having it.

Room Tip: we stayed in 341, it had a nice entrance hall and was roomy, it was centrally located in the front o...

We stayed 3 nights here, having come to Vitoria for the Jazz Festival. Our booking was through Atrapolo; the price was 82 Euros per night for a double room inclusive of breakfast. There are 3 spaces immediately in front of the entrance door to the hotel for loading/unlloading a car. We found unlimited on-street parking (free) on streets within a 5 minute walk of the hotel, so did not use the hotel garage.
I would not fault any aspect of our stay, save for a somewhat indifferent welcome from the first receptionist on duty. All the other staff in the hotel were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was good, all items fesh and constantly replenished, with the opportunity to order your eggs cooked as you like them.
The room was fairly spacious, the beds comfortable and there was sufficient wardrobe space for our 3 night stay. The curtains were very efficient in securing "black out" in the room. However, the hotel is between 2 major roads and, while the window in our room opened very easily, there was too much traffic noise to leave it ajar during the night. The air conditioning functioned well and quietly, though.
The bathroom was very well equipped and clearly someone had addressed the vexed issue - overlooked in many hotels - of space to deposit all the bits and pieces that are needed there, by providing lots of shelving and space around the handbasin.
The location is about as near as one can find a quality hotel in the centre of Vitoria. The walk to the Plaza Mayor is level and, after the first block, mostly through a well-maintained park with a bandstand (with music at times) a couple of cafes and so on. It took us 10 to 15 minutes at a moderate strolling pace. We enjoyed our stay here. There was jazz in the cafes around Plaza Mayor most afternoons and evenings and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed. We felt perfectly safe walking back to the hotel at night. Vitoria is a wonderful base from which to spend a couple of days exploring the surrounding countryside - much of it mountainous.

Hotel was great and the facilities for a city centre hotel were adequate enough. Nice spacious, clean rooms. Stayed at the hotel due to taking part in the ITU LD World Champs so allowing my bike in my room was a bonus. WiFi access was OK. Was upgraded to 4th floor without asking so use of the facilities were also a bonus. Only problem was the city - very stunning location and the coutry side was beautiful but the eating facilities were very poor. Finding a decent restaurant serving hot food and fresh vegatables was near impossible. If this city is on your 'bucket list' then I would remove it. Although the centre was medievil and lovely, the evenings made some parts of the city look like East Berlin prior to the colaspe of the wall. Hotel great, location poor, very dissapointing.
