“Great hotel OK location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

We booked a suite at this hotel and were very happy with all aspects. Good size, smart and clean. Bathroom a little dated but still clean. Location is great for the beach but a bit far from the main town. Would definitely stay there again.

Well the good points, big room for a triple, hot shower, decent bath. The staff is professional and responsive. A good rate for San Sebastian. The room is noisy both from neighbors and street, the street noise a partial function of the room being hot in October so we left the window open. Some peeling paint, but the common areas look kept up and attractive. Nice cafe attached for breakfast and economical compared to the buffet. This location is about 1 mile from centro and Parte Vieja so be prepared to walk, buses are easy and taxis about 8 euros.

Room Tip: Triples are hard to find, but avoid 216 If you are light sleeper. But it was the biggest we have had...

Finding the hotel was not difficult. Parking around the back of the hotel in a closed garage area was simple.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and small.

The location of the hotel is not ideal. It is about a 35 minute walk from the old town. Buses are convenient and run on a regular schedule.

Some restaurants are located several blocks from the hotel.

Check-in and check-out was efficient. The staff did not offer to help bring luggage up the stairs from the garage.

The price was slight elevated but probably in a reasonable range for San Sebastian.

Room Tip: The old town of San Sebastian is charming with many tapas bars. Some serve good portions of mussels...

I've stayed for 3 nights in late September. Big, clean room with big bathroom. Good breakfast but the breakfast salon is a bit bleak (no natural light). Staff is helpful and professional but they lack a bit of charm. There is a nice bar. The hotel is close to the beach but not so close to the city center though (the BUS stop is across the street).

The staff here are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is away from the city centre however it is only a 5 min walk from the beach. There are buses directly outside the hotel which will take you to the city centre in 15min.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. We found the staff very distant, we barely got an hello or indeed any kind of greeting upon arriving or leaving the hotel. Location was very close to the beach and a nice ten minute walk to the main central area. Bus stops dry close and buses run very regularly.
The room was very clean. I don't think we would stay in this hotel again if we were returning to San Sabastian.

Just finished a one night stay here and I don't know why anyone would have a bad word to say about the hotel. It was small, clean and well located with friendly and efficient staff. A twenty minute walk from old town or 10 minutes by the frequent 5 or 25 buses, which stop right outside the hotel and cost only 1.45. Plus it's less than ten minutes from the beach. at 150 euros a night it seemed a like a reasonable deal considering San Sebastian is such a popular town. Completely recommended!
