“Excellent design hotel overlooking Guggenheim museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2011

We were delighted with the hotel, everything was as advertised, and our room - light and airy - had a fantastic view over the Guggenheim. The bathroom was a bit too "design" to be efficient - it looked better than it worked, with water from the shower leaking out all over the floor in a borderline dangerous way, but otherwise, no complaints. Staff were helpful and pleasant, both at the time of booking and during our stay. There is a large underground car-park just across the road, if on-street parking isn't available.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the view over the Guggenheim

The Miró is perfectly located opposite the Guggenheim Museum. To the old city center, you need about 15 minutes by feet. Car parking is available very close to the hotel. For a bit more than 24 hours we payed 11.75 EUR. There is a 10% discount for hotel guests.

The hotel itself is very beautifully designed, if you like the rather minimalistic style. We certainly got one of the "cheapest" rooms - view to the back, not very much daylight. But it still offered everything you can expect, including iPod dock and DVD-player. Although, the room was not perfectly cleaned. It was okay, but for more than 100 EUR per night, you can expect no dust on shelf edges etc.

The courtesy bar is great and offers free non-alcoholic drinks as well as wine. Furthermore, there are some rather simple rolls with turkey etc. We found it a very nice place to sit and relax for a fine minutes before or after exploring the city.

All in all, a great place to stay in Bilbao. Compare the room rates on different booking sites. The prices are much lower when not booking directly with the hotel.

Boutique hotel almost opposite the Guggenheim Museum. The ground floor is very stylish. Our room was comfortable and modern although the bathromm was very small, beds linens and pillows very comfortable and breakfast was very good too.The gym well equipped.Staff professional and efficient. The only negative point was that it has no restaurant. All in all, lovely hotel,it was good value for the price.I highly recommend it.

My wife and I spent four nights at Miro in the beginning of May 2011. We had booked a room faceing the Guggenheim. We are very pleased with the room, the staff , well the entire hotel. A nice thing is the bar close to the lobby where you can get a glass of wine, coffee, tea etc free of charge. The room had a mini bar and a little safe.

Room Tip: Book a room faceing the Guggenheim.

Stayed here for 3 nights. 15 mins bus ride from the airport and right across from the Guggenheim. 10-15min walk to the old town. Really good hotel for exploring. Good staff, free bar near the lobby and good wellness/spa suite. Also free wi-fi (ask for code at reception). The breakfast was simple but good enough.

it was our first hotel of the trip and by far, the BEST and about the same price we paid as the 1star hotel in San Sebastian! Umbrellas to borrow in the lobby on rainy days, buffet breakfast, help yourself to drinks in the lounge, clean, modern, quiet, great location down the street from "Puppy" of the Guggenheim we could see out our window! Our 3yr old felt comfy there too, they provided a travelcot for her she loved! The other hotels did not have so had to pay for a 3rd bed in room. Highly recommend, especially for the price in the area!

Room Tip: very comfortable and clean

We stayed for one night in this excellent modern hotel. The design is very stylish, with impressive attention to detail. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was attractive and well-designed, with a separate toilet, DVD player, radio with Ipod docking, large comfortable bed and a view of the Guggenheim. The room was very quiet at night, with efffective blackout blinds. There is a free bar in the lounge area, with coffee and tea available all day, and soft and alcoholic drinks from 13.30 until late. There is an extensive DVD library and bikes available for hire. There is a gym, and massage facilities. The hotel is very good value for money - especially as there bar no bar bills to pay.
