“nice hotel in a great location with shops & bars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

The hotel is in a great location with pintxo (tapa) bars, restaurants, shops (including the dep.store ElCortesIngles) nearby. It's within walking distance between major sights like the Old Town and Guggenheim. My husband and my adult sister first stayed in a room on the third floor but it didn't have wifi reception. We'd like to thank the manager who moved us to a room on the second floor with a good wifi reception. Both rooms were clean and, luckily, had no steps mentioned in other reviews. I would only complain about the transparent walls of the toilet because it would light the room at night. The staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast at the hotel cost 16.5 euros so we had it in a different place every morning. The closest place is Cafeteria Restaurante Gaico which is round the corner on the left. (2-3 min. away). I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Bilbao.

Chic and modern rooms that are large, comfortable and super clean. The outside terrace located in the middle of hotel was stylish and contemporary. We wished we could return when it was warmer to enjoy its ambience. Location was fabulous too and in easy reach of bars, restaurants, shops, Guggenheim museum and other amenities. The only drawback was the rather overpriced breakfasts. All in all super hotel in a superb city.

This hotel is excellent value, the rooms and shared areas are very well appointed. Its in a great location with shops and bars close by and the staff are good. It was a really good option and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The hotel was ideally positioned, close to shops, bars - one across the road was convenient for a late beer or two - and the quality inside was first class. Modern, clean, with extremely helpful and kindly staff. Loved our room on the second floor, but if anyone has trouble walking it included a small number of steps upto the front door and bathroom. Nice outdoor areas which will be good in summer. Breakfast was everything you could want, however turn up late and you had to sometimes ask for food to be stocked up. But couldn't fault the choice. It is a very quiet hotel with a 'canteen' style food service available and a restaurant. oh and a gym. Bilbao was brilliant, superb. We went to watch Ath Bilbao v Ath Madrid and it worked out really well despite a 9pm kick off. More details available on request. We walked the city, including visiting the Guggenheim, funicular, shopping centres, the old town and squares. Enjoyed walking down by the river and the food and drink was extremely reasonable. All round, first class. Loved it.

Room Tip: Room 225 was very quiet however 227 was prone to slight annoying rumbling noise from the casino bel...

Nice functional hotel in the city center. Rooms are spacious and everything looks very new. I would only complain about the toilet light, which is too soft. Dinner options in the hotel are limited, particularly from Monday to Wednesday (the main restaurant is closed, so you can only have a limited selection of dishes in the bar, the same limited selection that it is available for the room service). However, there are many tapas bars and restaurants in the nearby Moyua neighborhood (e.g. in calle Diputación), so that is not a big issue.

The location is very central, just a few blocks away from the underground, main city attractions and the airport bus stop. Modern design, rooms big, impeccably clean and very quiet. Staff at the reception multilingual and very friendly. Breakfast could be better, but it can be easily skipped - there is plenty of coffee shops nearby. By all means a very pleasant stay.

For those who are looking for comfort and good location it is the perfect choice.
We stayed 3 nights and got a spacious and very clean and comfortable room.
The receptionist was very helpful and you really feel great staying there.

Room Tip: book or ask for a Superior room.
