Description: The prizewinning Restaurante Aragonia's cuisine is intimist and pays tribute essentially to Aragonese produce, complemented with the best of the Mediterranean kitchen and the best wines in the world. This devotion begins with careful attention to detail in the choice of the best natural produce and the continual search through the classical and modern techniques on the part of the chefs, Noelia Andia and Jose Luis Reyes, to achieve the best of flavours. The restaurant manager, Jesus Solanas, a renowned sommelier, gives advice on the best wine and food matching for each gastronomic proposal. The restaurant has a wine cellar with over 1,600 national and international wines. The restaurant has a room for private celebrations with a capacity for up to 12 people: 'Reina Petronila'.

“Great hotel, terrible restaurant”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

We stayed in the hotel and it was lovely, but the restaurant service was terrible! The restaurant is reputed to have an extensive cellar stocked with many local/Spanish wines, liquors and liqueurs. After dinner, my husband asked to see a list. They don't have one was the the response, if you know what you want we'll get it for you. The waiter said he was too busy to spend any time with recommendations. It would have been fun to try something we couldn't get in the states. A two star hostel in the Pyrenees went out of their way to help us sample. Shameful that such a highly rated restaurant would have "attitude".

“Outstanding meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel for one night and had seen the review of the restaurant on TA before, but we had already decided to visit another restaurant, (Palolmeque). However, even though we tried to book it at lunch time for an evening dinner, it was fully booked. So gave the hotel restaurant a go. I was a little apprehensive, having dined at hundreds of hotel restaurants in business travel and being disappointed.....but not this one. It was excellent!
Great choice of fixed menus or a la carte, good wine menu and nice atmosphere.
The cochinillo was terrific and for dessert, we had to try the chocolate ice cream with olive oil, ( no typos here!) it was a unbelievably good!

“Worthy of Mr Michelin's attention”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Unexpectedly excellent. Fine food, first class professional and cordial service at a reasonable price. €50 euro a head with a fine wine, worth every cent.

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

One possibly does not expect to find a restaurant of this quality in the basement of the Palafox Hotel in Zaragoza, Spain. Impeccable service, outstanding dishes (the fish dishes are my favorites), a great wine list (many local outstanding wines). Not inexpensive but worth every penny.

“Varied, interesting, and priced rather high.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2009

Large variety of food items in the menu. Dishes are tasty and well presented, and portions are sufficient. Wine selection has several pleasing surprises. Service is attentive, respectful, and professional. Bathrooms are clean. Location is good.

Atmosphere isn't particularly exciting. Parking could be a problem. Prices are on the high side.

Bottom line: Good place to visit once if you are in Zaragoza.
