High above the surrounding plain stands this well-preserved medeival castle. Originally it was an outpost, then the frontier between Christian and Moorish Spain. Unlike most castles, it was not extensively rebuilt after the frontier moved further south.
We visited this castle in the morning, then drove an hour south to Zaragoza to see La Aljaferia, a moorish castle/palace from the same era.
