Description: Espacio Eslava offers the opportunity to enjoy Seville on every level. On the ground floor amongst the Andalusian hustle and bustle of our tapas bar. In the relaxed atmosphere of our restaurant. Upstairs within our inviting apartments. And to top it all off, on our terrace with unbeatable views of the rooftops of Seville. The neighbourhood of San Lorenzo is a favourite haunt for locals and one of the most memorable discoveries of visitors to the city. Calle Eslava may be a very short street, but nonetheless it is home to two plazas, two churches brimming with history and two points of reference for great gastronomy in Seville: our tapas bar and restaurant. We've added to this four boutique apartments in which you'll feel right at home. Opening hours at Restaurante Eslava:
Tuesday to Saturday from 13:30 to 16:00 and 21:00 to 23:30. Sundays from 13:30 to 16:00. Closed on Sunday nights and Mondays all day. Opening hours at Eslava tapas bar: Open from 12:30 to 00:00. Closed on Sunday nights and Mondays all day. The kitchen is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 13:00 to 16:30 and 19:30 to 23:30 and on Sundays from 13:30 to 16:30.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Thanks to all who recommended this restaurant as we would not otherwise have found it! We got there early and secured a table - very crowded by the time we left and long queue, but it would have been worth it. Some of the best tapas I have had, great staff, excellent choice of wines by glass and good value for money.

“Enslaved by Eslava”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

I want to live in Eslava - forever.

Who would have thought a small room painted a very challenging hue of blue and very brightly lit could be so wonderful? If you are there at 7.30pm you might get a table at the back yet here you'd not be eating several embarassing hours earlier than anyone else in Seville. Within minutes a crowd of locals and of enthusiastic visitors pack the place; you can also eat at the bar or at the high tables outside.

The service is fantastic any time of day and in spite of crowds, heat and the constant pleading of people for tables I never saw a ruffled hair or grimace from the staff.

The expected traditional tapas are here, including sardines and sliced ham, pork cheeks, peppers stuffed with salt cod and Spanish cheeses but Eslava has won prizes for their newer creations. The long cigar of cuttlefish and something green is a triumph of presentation, bound to make you laugh or smirk (especially if you have a smutty mind) and tastes great too. So does the slow-cooked egg yolk on a warm mousse of wild mushroom. As for what else is on the menu, you'd better make the effort to get there - the treats on offer change constantly.

They pour spirits while looking the other way - a double is fairly much a tumbler-full. Here I discovered Gin di Mare, scented with herbs that grow on the stony shores of the Med. They'll want to add lemon zest and fresh thyme to the ice cubes but first sip it solo, without ice. It's one of the few 'new' gins that delivers difference.

Oh yes, as well as being amazingly moderate in price, there's no service charge added or expected. That adds huge enjoyment!

If ever you hear I'm lost in Seville, I won't be. I'll be enslaved at Eslava.

“Original Tapas in Sevilla Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

It is a tapas-bar which serves original tapas. It is very close to the city centre. I definitely suggest it. You can either eat outside, standing up, or inside, sitting. Since it is renowned, it is generally crowded. So, if you don't like to wait, then you have better make a reservation. Anyhow, the staff properly manages the waiting list so you can relax and sip a beer meanwhile. Apart from the variety of nice and original tapas you can also enjoy the Sevilla atmosphere in which Spanish and foreigners mingle.

“Different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

They have a good selection of unique tapas! We ate here on the lastday so it was nice to try something different. Not the best location but not too far off the touristy routes
