“excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2010

We stayed at this hotel last week during 3 nights in seville. We were there during holy week and were able to get the room in the hotel with 2 bedrooms on the upper floor and a small family room on the first floor. The entire staff was fabulous at the hotel, helpful, friendly, and willing to get anything for us when needed. The room rate was very reasonable and it also included breakfast. We were traveling with 5 kids ages 4 months through 14 years and all of them were comfortable in our room and in hanging out at the hotel. The only negative point would be that the internet was out and didn't work while we were there. Also, it would have been nice to have another chair or rug on the first floor living area to make it more comfortable.

Beautiful 500 year old building. Every member of staff could not have been more helpful. They were all attentive, smiley, professional and proud of their hotel.

If you want a brash modern hotel do not go there. If you want excellent service and tranquility, this is the place.

I stayed here for one night, and found the hotel to be located in a charming area. The hotel itself is very nice, and the staff made us feel most welcome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved this hotel. It has beautiful courtyards (4 that we saw). Our suite (#7) was wonderful. Very romantic. We had a big spa tub in the bedroom with a rainwater shower head. Two sinks, two mirrors and a small WC closet. We also had a nice size parlor and a small enclosed patio with a fountain we could turn on and off. The service is fantastic. The best we had in our 10 day Spanish holiday. We were upgraded to a suite from a deluxe room. The Casa Imperial has character, style, great service, good breakfast and is clean. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Was beginning to doubt the GPS as we drove on smaller and smaller streets without the slightest hint that a hotel was in our immediate future. Indeed the directions were correct and we found ourselves at a charming hotel that lived up to our friends reviews. After finding the first ground floor room a little dark, the staff accomodated us by providng another alternative on the second floor that was lighter and more airy. Comfortable, spanish traditional decor with very helpful and friendly staff. Very well located, although off the beaten path enought to be quite and restful when we were in our room. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Definately plan to stay there again when we return.

After getting completely lost in Seville for about the third time whilst looking for another hotel we had booked we decided we would stay at the very next hotel we came upon no matter what the cost. Casa Imperial is definitely not for those on a budget. I thought it was a bit overpriced for shoulder season but we found we did not care after the exemplary service we received by the staff. They were friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable and most of all they went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed to make our stay more compfortable. Parking is at a premium (and almost non-existent) in Seville so we were very surprised and very grateful when they allowed us to leave our car parked at the front of the hotel while we explored Seville for the entire day!
The hotel is in a fantastic area of restaurants, shopping & attractions. All very walkable.

The hotel is EXACTLY as pictured and stunningly beautiful. As my title suggests - an architectural gem! To the person who says they are stuck in the 70's and need to update - are you kidding? Why would you ever want to bring a 16th Century Palace once owned by the Marquis de Tarifa into present day? There are chain hotels for lovers of present day architecture you know.

To say one more thing about the staff - since we left our car in the front of the hotel we had to leave the keys with them in case they needed to move it. It had been moved at least once. We found out the next day that we had mistakenly left our Blackberry in the console - in full view - where it still safely sat!
