“Excellent 2 star hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Excellent location in a very nice area close to all main sites, many restaurants and shops nearby. Great value for money. Even though only a two star hotel, rooms are very fresh and tidy, the whole building is in a spotless condition, staff was extra nice, helpful and very welcoming. Some rooms have nice view over the park (I guess the superior ones).

The hotel is located on the edge of the old city an easy walk through the best of the old city to the Cathedral and other main sites. Also next to fine public gardens. Driving through and finding parking in the old city is very tricky, this hotel is right next to a car park, so if you are driving into Saville its ideal for this. Our room was a good size, all floors have stone tiles, helping to make the whole place feel very clean. No breakfast. Plumbing and doors closing around the building rather noisy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good rate. Great value and lovely base for visit to Saville.

The main lobby of the hotel is very nice and has free wi-fi but the wi-fi in some of the rooms was a little weak. The rooms were very nice although the toilet flush was extremely loud. Our room had a terrace and the view was very nice and the hotel is close enough to walk to a lot of the main attractions. The hotel charge to my credit card was in dollars not euros resulting in an unfavorable exchange rate. I was not asked if I wanted the charge in dollars. I don't know if this is a common practice of the hotel but I recommend asking the hotel in advance to use euros on the credit card in advance of processing the transaction.

The Hotel Dona Manuela really deserves a second stay. Its location is very nice - at a short walking distance from the main attractions, in the area of Santa Cruz but on a pedestrian street and with a garden in front, so really quiet at night. The building is historical and typically sevillan but the interiors are quite new and practical.
The rooms are spacious (bathroom included even if without window) and clean, with daily change of towels.
There is a very small "balcony" overlooking the pedestrian street and self-managed heating.
The only "bad point" I found in the room is the bed mattress - not so comfortable even if we slept well all the same.
The flushing system is a bit noisy but it did not wake us up when sleeping.
The hotel has no breakfast room but the restaurants and bars next door belong to the same management and the hotels' guests are entitled to a 10% discount if eating there - we had one breakfast there and it was good but we also tried other bars, all very close-by.
The staff at the reception was the real plus, extremely kind and careful. They were always helpful - for information, reservations, custody of luggage and advice.
Absolutely worth the price!

We found this hotel to be well situated, clean and great value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly and it was very handy having the cafes right outside the hotel. It was pretty quiet despite being so central but we did stay there in February so it might be different in high season. For a pre dinner Flamenco show I would recommend Museo del Baille, we have always found the standard of dancers to be extremely high and on this visit I saw the best male dancer I've ever seen....just amazing!

Loved our stay at this hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was very quiet despite being over the plaza. There are about 4 restaurants and or coffee bars right downstairs in the plaza that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Give the Tapas a try across the plaza at the Modesto Restaurant.

Our third base of the Southern Spain tour sees us based at the Dona Manuela and paying a little extra for the superior room as Molly the Colllie needs an upgrade apparently. A pleasant room with a blcony on the top floor. Right next to a wonderful park and a short walking distance to the river for the boat trip and the tour bus for the city sight seeing tour. Not a lot of interaction with the staff they seem a youngish group possibly students and studying whilst manning the phones. Internal shot of the room shows a clean and comfortable base.
