A point that appears in many of my trip’s reviews: I’m a barefooter, and if a museum doesn’t let me in without shoes, it gets 1 point less than I’d normally give. There’s no good reason why anyone should have to wear shoes in a museum and insisting about it is nothing but a sign of a repressive society that I can and will not stand for.
That being said, I enjoyed my visit on a Saturday with free entrance and few people there, and I enjoyed the museum a LOT more than the Es Baluard in Palma de Mallorca, which - I had been told earlier – was supposedly the better contemporary art museum. Some rooms were less than impressive, but that’s the case in most museums. If you’ve got little time in Seville, it’s an easy omission (also because it’s not in the city center), but it’s definitely worth going there.
There's a self-service café on site.
