From the Tripadvisor reviews, we expected a special, cosy and comfortable small hotel or converted mansion. In fact it was an old house with seven rooms, yet it was old and very tired. There was none who spoke English which made it difficult to make any reservations which normally a place like this would help with. The room has no amenities such as a TV, radio or even a clock. A/C was added to the room after refurbishment years ago, not a problem, except that it did not adequately cool the room or bathroom. To make it worse, when we went out the staff turned to A/C off, so that upon return the room was like an oven (as was the entire building since there is no A/C )
The "butler" was just the young male employee who donned a uniform to serve a very mediocre breakfast. Finally, if you are driving to Seville, be sure that you are aware that this hotel ins not reachable with your car. You need to park a ten to fifteen minute walk away and either take a cab or call for them to come to the car park and assist you with your luggage.
All in all, the most disappointing stay we have ever had. FYI there are many better places for less money such as Hotel 1800 - better located, newer and cheaper.

We are saddened that this particular guest did not enjoy their stay at Casa Nº7 as every client is very important to us. This is particularly hurtful as we tried our best to remedy this guest's complaints and thought that we had satisfied their issues. We fully appreciate that old Seville with itwinding and narrw streets of 11th is not a place for an unfamiliar tourist in a large Mercedes. To this end in our confirmation email we always advise guests to park at our nearest car park, and point out the perils of driving in old Seville. We also ask our gueststo give an indication of their arrival time, so that we can ensure our English speaking manageress is on duty in case of any difficulties in navigating around old Seville.

Our website and guides that recommend us, all point out the fact that we do not have radio, TV, Satellite or any other source of noise and distraction in our hotel. We dothis to ensure peace, trannquility and to preserve the authenticity of an old Merchant house in one of the oldest parts of Seville. We have painfully restored this beautiful buildind and carefully chosen the furnishings to create an authentic atmosphere for those seeking an escape from today's pace of life and a retreat into an old cultural past of Spain without compromising the comfort of our guests. This is the reason we have so many recommendations from so many respected guides from around the world.
Of course a 19th Century building cannot come with anything other than an air-conditioning system that is installed into individual rooms, and not as part of the fabric of the building. The majority of the hotels nowadays have movement sensing air-conditioning cut-off, or they control the air-conditioning system with electronic entry system, so that they only operate when the room is in use. Air-conditioning is a heavy user of electricity and a major contributor to the CO2 footprint of hotels and tourism; therefore it is imperative that they are not left on when no.one is using the room. This ensures reduction in waste of electricity and precious energy as well as reducing the impact of tourism on the enviroment.
Our hotel manageress recognised that this guest was entirely unhappy with their choice of hotel, so called me( the owner) to speak with the gentlemen. As I was on business in Madrid, I had a telephone conversation with him. During this conversation I offered to find another hotel more suited to his needs or give him a reduction of 50% for his stay. He accepted the 50% reduction as a fair deal and chose to stay. I am extremely disappointed that despite my best effort to placate this guest, our efforts were not good enough and failed to satisfy him.
If he cares to contact us directly, we can perhaps discuss what else we could have done to remedy the situation to his satisfaction!
